Leica CRF 3500 Spinning Reticle

My CRF 3500 seems to have quit. All I get is a spinning reticle. I've tried holding either or both buttons down for about 30 seconds or so and I have replaced the battery. But the reticle just spins - even for several minutes after releasing the buttons.

Has anyone else had trouble with this range finder? Any thoughts on other things to try?
 
I have seen the spinning reticle on my Leica Geovid Pro's when it is undergoing a firmware update while connected to the app. Perhaps, yours was interrupted mid update and is now looking for it's marbles. I would try connecting with the app and seeing if this fixes it.

If not, I believe @ahboykin is the Leica rep on here. Perhaps he can provide some direction. Certainly sounds like a software issue to me.
