Isn’t it all retarded super ultra mega unconstitutional nonsense at this point? But since no one has read the bill we don’t know how far onto the retarded spectrum we are with this one. it being pretty moronic is a safe bet.

When I think how hard I worked to get my college degree... I used the GI bill and took out loans to pay for a degree I could make a living with. Worked two jobs, one starting at 3:30 in the morning and supported a wife and child. And paid back every penny of my loans. Makes me want to puke in disgust.

Now I get to pay loans back for some woke democrat who got a degree in gender studies.

Unconstitutional nonsense. Only Congress can spend the money. This will be an executive order that will be declared invalid by the Supreme Court in about two years, long after the money is spent. Only real chance of stopping it is an legal injunction of some sort that holds the spending up until a legal decision. We'll see.

Not free. Inflation rate and my paycheck say not free.
This is correct. But will those that have had their obligations forgiven be grateful to you or to El Guapo in the White House even though he isn’t paying for it but has mandated that WE pay for it.

^^^^^This^^^^^

As well, don’t forget about the blue-collar guys who did not want to risk taking loans for college, so instead went blue collar.

Now we get to pay for the ones who over borrowed and over spent..? And they get to keep their degrees?

Do I get free college, too?

Fuck me.

And what message does this send to others who would like a free ride.

So will they waive the tax on the loan forgivness or will the woke young folks discover the IRS wants taxes on that forgiveness the same year it was forgiven?
The last time this bullshit came to the fore the hook was that taxes had to be paid on forgiveness IIRC. Still, it’s a shit deal for the rest of the citizenry that had to finance it.

But, at the end of the day I’m not sure I can tell the difference in my taxes that pay for forgiven loans and the vacation homes our billions bought for Ukraine leadership.

I am BEYOND PISSED OFF to even talk about this insanity. I worked myself half to death to get through school, maintain a Scholly, and pay for my apartment and books and food ect.... there's much more I'd like to say but since we live in a constantly monitored totalitarian state I won't. Not yet anyway, but everyone has their limits. Everyone

I have mixed feelings about this.
I served, then used my G.I. Bill years later for a degree in electronics. I have been working in my field for the last 14years. I know Ive probably paid twice what my original loan amount was just in interest. While I was in college (Night class) I had to work full time mon-fri because I had a family of 4 to provide for. So when my GI Bill money would hit my bank account it was actually spent mostly on my house note and groceries. The mon-fri job was something I had to take on after I started class because my job before college required me to be on 24hr on call status. (Couldnt do that when going to night class.)

Someone wants to pay off most of what I have left in student loan. Do I feel that nothing is free? Absolutely because I learned to not trust ANYONE in .gov and wish they would all rot in hell. Will I take the money if I qualify for it? You fuckin A right I will. I definitely see yall points in free loaders, and spoiled brats who went to college for shit that dont give a return on what they chose to go to college for. But in my case, Ive served my country and have been paying into this legalized theft of a system my whole life, supported a family the entire time, and currently working in the field I chose to go to college for.

So yes Ill gladly take that money, but Im still giving a giant middle finger back to them.

Yeah, free money is going to be given away regardless, but at least it has a higher chance of going to someone that went to school to be a mechanic/welder/nurse vs $600 checks that immediately got spent on flat screen tv's and malt liquor....

And yes, it is to sway them to vote Democrat. Probably will work too.

A lot of rich grad students thank you for paying their college loans, now be honest are you starting to feel like a sheep since Biden just sheared your wallet . This is what happens when you don't attend insurrections ,the government takes more of your money.

How does this fit in with the inflation reduction act?

More bullshit from DC, the printing presses must be running nonstop to keep up with the debt/giveaways/kickbacks etal.
These grad students will get money to buy electric cars with the inflation reduction act. So lets recap, you pay their college loans and buy them an electric car. Conservatives is another word for SUCKERS..........

Per the article:
A. 43 million people have some amount of federal student loan debt.
B. Approximately 1/3 of that 43 million have less than $10,000 in student loan debt.
C. Approximately 1/2 of that 43 million have less than $20,000 in student loan debt.

Honestly, I am more pissed about this “debt forgiveness” than I was before, which I didn’t think was possible.
I guess I was under the impression these dipsticks owed like $50k or $75k each……we’re talking less than $10k!

14 million people can’t pay back a measly “less than $10k”? Seriously? A decent freaking used motorcycle is $10,000. 10 brand new iPhones cost more than $10k. If you can’t pay back $10k over an extended period of time, life Is gonna suck for you.

Just run the numbers on a $10k loan.
48 months at 7.0% is only about $240 a month…..maybe those terms aren’t reasonable.…..I don’t know.

Like most things in life, it’s all about priorities.
I was raised with the understanding that you never took on debt that you couldn’t repay.

When My wife and I got married (2003), I made $10.50 an hour and she made $10 per hour and I had a second, part time job (about 6 hours per week) that paid me $12.50 per hour. We paid for our own health insurance through our respective jobs (2 individual plans were cheaper than 1 ”family” plan). We owned a small $92k home and had 1 small car payment. We had no debt outside those 2 items. Neither of us graduated from college. We had enough money to tithe to our church and even put money in savings almost every week. We might have only been able to put back $5 one week or $10 the next week, but we forced ourselves to save something……anything……every week. We didn’t have kids because we knew we couldn’t afford them at that time In our lives/careers. We watched every penny. We ate a lot of ham sandwiches, ramen noodles, and bowls of cereal. We never ate out at a restaurant for the first year or so. Neither of us had any vices (i.e. Cigarettes, beer, etc.) that cost money. We never went on “vacation“ except to go visit family members, who allowed us to stay with them. I took all the overtime I could get. We sold things we didn’t need/use anymore for extra cash.

So don’t tell me it can’t be done. You have to determine what your means are and then set the parameters of your life around those means.
No one said it was easy and no one said it was fun, but if someone tells you it isn’t possible, they are a liar.

You’re too late to the game to tell me it isn’t possible.

So who has "standing"to file an injunction to stop it? And is the paperwork ready to file as soon as he turns around from the podium? Even Obama said it wasn't legal as has Nancy and others.
Take to opportunity to file in a friendly court and stop it in it's tracks.

Americans don’t vote for dumocrats so they have to buy votes

"Republicans" get more donations if this isn't stopped. They love this stuff going through. Think about how many donation fliers they can mail out asking to stop the Biden agenda that bleeds money from taxpayers

Every thing the.gov does is a scam ! We have zero representation in government. Zero !
Neither party represents the average American.
You know this garbage isn't supported by average working class people.
This is just another way to attack the middle class, taxing and causing inflation. While buying votes. The goal is to collapse the middle class.
It's amazing how many of Obama's policies are being pushed thru by Biden. It's almost like Joe's a puppet.
FJB and FBO too.

Isn’t it all retarded super ultra mega unconstitutional nonsense at this point? But since no one has read the bill we don’t know how far onto the retarded spectrum we are with this one. But when measured against the free market and caveat emptor, it being pretty moronic is a safe bet.
“We” are all the way to full retard on the spectrum.

Even IF the supreme court takes the case I don’t hold much hope that it will get struck down, even years after the Monopoly money gets spent

I wonder if the 10K will count as income and then be subject to taxation?

Nothing suprises me anymore.

Nothing has happened yet. They have been saying they were going to forgive loans nationally for how many election cycles now?

Why not just remove the interest on the loans and have everyone pay them back?

It may look like vote pandering and may get some.
Real deal, tax payers just put 300 billion into the hands of the bankers/lending institutions.
Add to that the liberal colleges/Universities so they can add more diversity positions for indoctrination.

possibly a stipulation of amount of time in the market/industry

if you owe (up to a certain amount of federal only) school loans to a basket weaving degree...and you stay a basket weaver for 8-10 years (of some decent amount of time) then a portion of the loan will be forgiven.

the use of loans is a good idea at the core but as we know its bastardized

we still need certain jobs and professions that are not the highest paid yet need some additional education

meritocracy

Ex; HVAC school /trades

we want to bring some middle class blue collar jobs back to america...forgive the master welder some school loans

that gets him education as well as keeping in his trade staffed with quality employees

not jumping ship to customer service wasting his education

if certain jobs/degrees fall away...they werent needed anyway because the market would increase pay to bring employees in

as long as the economy is "up" by the end it doesnt matter if the loan is paid back or not

if paying a 10K loan back over 10 years inhibits 20K in tax revenue then the economy is better off with you spending the 20 in the market rather than paying back the 10.

the unpaid 10 is just added to the govt debt which doesnt mean anything in reality, its just a huge number people complain about

the 20 gets used at local stores and goods

when the whole world is in debt to each other, a countries debt doesnt mean anything

just a idea, because school loans arent going away and neither are the people who want to give shit away for free
