Manners LRH Discussion

When I describe the LRH as being loud, I’m saying that it transmits a lot of the sound that he put it to the gun, which is probably being obvious. In a hunting application I’m not too sure if I would be worried about it. Now with that said I am curious to hear if it has harmonics when firing; while I shoot suppressed I am curious if there is a difference and sound transmission because of the stock versus a more deadened stock and if making one or two shots with the suppressor on but no hearing protection is going to be an issue or not.

The LRH as a stock is the most well thought out stock that I have played with or seen. The barrel channel is milled out very intelligently, of course it has the profile of the barrel like any sock, but inletted into the forend are drop in T nut cutouts with dimpled starter holes that make it extremely fast and easy to add holes with nuts if you wish to attach bipod rails for ARCA rails or sling studs.

Any chance anyone can provide the weight of the LRH (Rem 700 short, proof sendero/sendero light contour, m5 inlet) with the mini chassis, and one of the same spec without? Manners has both listed at 1.95 pounds on the ready to ship stuff. I am still debating between getting an LRH with the mini chassis or ordering either an adjustable hunter or chalk branch from AG for a 7SAW build (hunting rifle, potential NRL hunter). Just curious if the LRH with the mini chassis is actually under 32 ounces, or if it is closer to the 40 ounces AG lists.
Rem 700 SA, M5 inlet, no mini chassis or pillars, weighs 34.4 ounces on my kitchen scale. Heavier than I expected, I was thinking it would be lighter.

yeah that's a wee bit heavier than I thought but I think I'll prefer the ergos of the LRH to the Manners ultra classic. Hard to beat the UC if you're looking for light as possible

Yep my UC was 19 oz without pillars

Mines got some the black with orange speckle ... hope it won’t be too flashy but it was in stock and I didn’t want to wait 16 months. Hoping to get it Friday.

That’s slick. Did you just use some vinyl and pray paint it?
Weapon works stencils. Custom blend Cerakote color (graphite black, blackout, tungsten) with 10% cosmic matte clear over graphics and matte clear over everything.

PS - Freedom Stencils are easier to work with if you are not a custom to this pattern.

Ive had a on and off relationship with Manners thru the years but i can see myself running the LHT for a long time.

The one thing i would make make available as a option would be a folding butt. I think the weight penalty is something a lot of ppl can live in light of the intended application of this model

Everything else is just perfect.

One of the reason I went with the mini chassis is that it’ll allow me to use the LRH on my 7SAW during hunting season, RimX for training and just for the insane fun that it is to shoot clays at 300m with it and perhaps even my Archimedes 6.5 med Palma.

I see a lot of potential in that stock. Hope it fits me better than the UC.

Anyone seen an LRH in medium action length on here or out in the wild?

I ordered one from Manners as I couldn’t find one anywhere.

Very nice. Love the action and bottom metal color. Very nice rig.

Did you order the stock or it was on the shelf somewhere?

Ordered it in. Don't think the Medium actions are standard enough for them to justify holding in inventory. Finding the bottom metal took longer than the stock.

Times have changed….at least as far as bottom metals are concerned. Ordered and received my bottom metal in less than a week. The M5 Hunter DBM and 3 round flat mags are availabke now as well as standard configuration both in medium length.

Thanks for the response.

With the amount of LRH stocks out there I'm kind of surprised that there aren't any options for a full length arca rail for it that I could find. Manners even said I wouldn't like a full length rail on it, (due to rounded and slightly narrower forend), but I have rails on my prs1ts so I didn't like having just the pic rail in the front. I tried to get Area 419 to make me one and they said maybe in the future but nothing in the works now. didnt think it would take much to make their 12in rail fit it ...and since I had one and know a buddy in a machine shop... I now have one.

I'm about to do the same thing when mine finally ships after 14 months.

I ordered another in March and that doesn't add any confidence that I might have it for hunting this winter.
I'm not sure. I usually get them in about 6 months or so and when I called they said they weren't sure why it has taken so long but there was an issue with my inlet. It wasn't an issue last year because I'm gone most falls lately but this year I'm home and wanted the gun to hunt with so I called to see what was going on.

Ask and you shall receive. AntiX XM.

What kind of bottom metal is that?

I dread the gap the long action stock has between the bottom metal and the "wings" on the stock near the mag well.

But yours doesn't look too bad at all being an xm.

Modified MDT xm mag?

That’s funny I also reached out to area419 in February about making a dedicated rail and they said maybe in the future. Then again a couple months later and then again this week. Still same answer of not one soon. With they would get on it. Think it would be awesome to not have to modify one and have the fit perfect. Maybe some more guys will bother them about it and they will pump some out. Guess modifying a 12” for now is the way to go.

try salmon river solutions? they're mainly hunting/lightweight based and i'm sure their audience own quite a few LRH

it would be interesting to see how well a 3d printed one would hold up...and not just on a LRH but in general...paging @Tyler Kemp

I'm having to modify a 419 rail to clean up that gap. The Salmon River doesn't fit the bottom metal inlet as cleanly as I wanted.

Does anyone know how the 419 rails are finished? Are they anodized? Cerakote or similar?

That is why I modified it and posted it here. Hoping we could draw up enough interest to get them to move on it. I really can't think it would take much to modify their program for their 12" to make it work.

I will soon be in need of another one and my buddy who modified this one for me wants the stock this time so he can make it fit cleaner with minimal gap. I told him I didn't care as it works fine and don't really see it but he wants to make it look better.

Yes I have two at the moment that I would buy from them today if they offered it. I do think the fit of the one it comes with is so nice and I would like the 419 to fit as nicely. You solved a problem for sure but like you mentioned the fit is a little loose on yours. Not like it matters other then the cosmetics of it. I told them when I spoke to them in February that the popularity of this stock and especially with the new hype with nrl hunter and similar series that they would sell a shitload of them. Are they on here at all? Maybe they will see the thread and get motivated?

@flyer1a is on here.

I have 3 LRH and waiting on 2 more LRH LA's that could use these also.

Ordering a 12” 419 rail today, going to cut like chadrp. I’ll post pic when finished. I don’t want to wait any longer.

Anyone weigh a long action with mini chassis and bottom metal? My EH1-TK weighed in 5-6 oz more than my math said it would based on Manners posted weights. Not the end of the world but more than I expected. Good to see the short actions with mini chassis are coming in at 34ish oz, that's in line with Manners specs.

I bought a Bravo for now because of time constraints, but will be picking up an LRH at some point for a long action origin build. Especially now that they are faster to get.

When Manners went with another rail as their integral/stock option, we shelved the idea. The market of people that will remove the factory ARCA rail and replace with one of ours will be quite small.

Again, my responses here aren't always popular and surely some of you will be disappointed or have "What about" thoughts, but we have to make business decisions every day on things like this.

The what about is that there’s is 3” and it needs to be your 12”. I’d throw that 3” in the garbage the second you guys released an arcalok version, quantity 2. Thanks for replying though and keeping us informed. Appreciate that!

Absolutely, and there are certainly a number of people who would, but we know how many people would need to do that for a new product to make sense, and just don't think it's enough, given that there is already a rail on the stock.

Keep tagging me in suggestions though guys, really - worst case scenario is this one where I say it probably doesn't make sense.

Completely understand where you guys are coming from. Are you able to say how many you would need to sell to make it viable for you guys? 50? 500? 5,000?

FYI, Manners has changed a couple things and in the last couple of batches I've received, all the stocks are coming in around 29oz (no mini chassis obviously)

What action? I was playing around on their site earlier, and while I didn't try every action in the drop down, it doesn't seem like any of them had left hand as an option. Or is that just one of those things you have to call in?

As I understand you put “left hand” in the notes and they will e-mail an order confirmation for you to approve before the order is active.
