I won an auction lot that contain a number of barrels, including these two. They look like Parker Hale 1200 or M82 target barrels to me, but I just guessing. Anyone able to help me out?

With that short Knox form they look like BSA majestic/hunter etc barrels.
What is the muzzle diameter and overall length?

Here's a pic of an M82 barrel for comparison. (The shape of the shank looks the same, this one is 26" long):
No expert, but the '7.62mm' reference as opposed to '308W' reference suggests an M82 barrel to me...

What is the shank thread diameter? Can you determine the number of threads per inch? What is barrel length? If you can post this info can confirm. May be for No4 Enfield T4 or could be for Parker Hale 1200 family of rifles. Markings indicate 7.62x52 NATO or 308 Win barrel proofed at 20 Tonnes providing chamber isn't dicked with.

Looks like large shank Mauser 98 threads to me, definitely not enfield. I'm also going to guess for Parker Hale target/sniper rifles.

Try slugging the barrel. Those are supposed to be tight bore if they are PH barrels
Haven't slugged it, but my CMP muzzle gauge is less than "0", so muzzles are very tight.

Bores are sharp and shiny.

Shank diameter is 1.1" or so. TPI appears to be about 12.

Based on your dimensions this is for a Parker Hale L81 cadet action - Numrich has a ton of these for sale awhile back - std Mauser thread. Looks like both are drilled and tapped for a front sign block. any additional marking on the barrels?

Thanks, Ron. No other marks that I can see.

Are these barrels highly regarded? They do not appear to have ever been mounted.

See somebody has taken my hand produced sketches and put them into CAD - well done! The 1200TX/M82/Cadet barrels are the same profile. The difference is in the markings, barrel twist. Is see both barrels are proofed - I'll look up the build dates and post info.

Thanks, Ron.

Can you identify whether the barrels are 1200TX, M82, or Cadet barrels from the proof marks?

Both 1200TX and M82 have additional markings on the 12 o'clock position on the barrel that clearly identify them. I have one of the Numrich barrels - came off a Cadet single shot action. IMO your barrels are L81 or L81A Cadet rifle - proofed 1984.

I just came out of a rabbit hole looking at barrels. Looks like the 1200 TX will be marked as such, 1200TX 7.62 MM NATO , Parker Hale LTD, Birmingham England. And done nicely, as they were production rifles. I'm in agreeance with Ron, probably an L81 Barrel. I used those CAD plans to have my barrel cut by McGowen, which should be an exact clone to your, real thing. Funny you should get these bad boys now, as I am collecting parts to do M82/C3 clone part deux. Sourcing a good SB action is proving interesting. While you are at it, find some PH5c sights....
Nice find!

Thanks, Chris.

I'm interested in following your footsteps on an M82/C3 Clone. I've accumulated a few pieces, including the barrels now. One of the things is a VZ-24 Mauser action. Is that a realistic action to use?

I went through my box of Parker Hale sights and found two that might qualify, although the nomenclature is different...
