Selling a Smith and Wesson Mod 29-2 in .44 magnum w/ 6" barrel. Based on the serial number and what I found online it was manufactured in 1980. Super smooth double action. Finish is in great shape as shown in the pictures. Happy to send more pics if you want them. Looking for $1300 shipped. I can do PayPal (f&f), Zelle, Venmo, or USPS MO. Ships to your FFL. If your FFL requires shipment from another FFL and not an individual let me know (might be an extra charge from my FFL).

Feel free to ask any questions.

Only potential trades:
- MDT HNT26 (R700)
- Impact 737T right handed, full rail, aw cut

Thanks for looking!

Just fyi, you measure the barrel on a revolver from the forcing cone.
I was wondering if I measured that wrong. Stuff I found online said the 1980 version of the 29-2 was the first year of the 5" barrel so I thought that's where it was measuring from.

interested. do you have the case with it? How many owners, bore bright? Stan

Comparing my 5” M629 and 6.5” M29 to the pics, looks like it may be 6” to me. Either way, beautiful classic Smith - gonna make somebody’s day!

Beautiful gun, good price, wrong finish for me..........

Can't seem to find the case it came in. I'm thinking it wasn't the original case though since I got this from my local gun shop who picked it up at an Estate Sale. He knew I was on a S&W revolver kick and offered it to me before anyone else saw it when I was at the shop to pick up my 627-PC .357. Wouldn't surprise me if this was only owned by the original owner before it came into my LGS's hands and then to me. I only put a cylinder's worth of rounds through it, as did my brother. Honestly, we both preferred the compensated 629-5 .44 mag I have (pictured below) so I put this one away and hadn't shot it since.

Eye candy, NOT FOR SALE. Matter of fact, stop looking at her...

Here are a couple of pics of the 29-2's bore (best I could get).
