This race outside of Leadville always seems like a bad idea……

There is another in Clear Creek, Georgetown and maybe Idaho Springs too, not over a crazy high pass though.

Old trapper guy from Idaho Springs area was always there.
Not fast and looked 100% like he was outta Jeremiah Johnson.

You were looking at her gloves?

i couldn’t imagine anyone choking their chicken over that woman.
My apologies if that is your sweetheart or a relative.

Haven't been over Mosquito Pass but over many of the passes in the San Juan's. Lots of shelf roads which will definitely make you pucker. Folks get killed up there every year either in ATV's or Jeeps. Mostly flatlanders who don't appreciate the dangers inherent on those roads. Three people were killed this week when their Jeep rolled off the road to Imogene Pass. The driver was a local hired by a Jeep tour outfit showing it can happen to anybody.

Yep.

Im not a 4 wheeling guy, but have ridden my bike over a few of them.
Seen a few nasty accidents with Jeeps in my years up in the mtns, on roads not nearly as crazy as some of the SW CO roads.

No BS and death in the mtns is a real thing.
Working where I do in Denver, I see the ones who live, or at least make it here alive…..

As I head out in a few days bear hunting solo. 🤣

Somebody really fucked traffic in OKC!

always amazed how the tires dont let go.

done the same on more than a few forklifts taking equipment off
If you ever watched them build those tires on how it’s made you would understand why they don’t fail. Most are all hand made and they are definitely extreme duty. They can withstand a huge load but are not impervious to puncture’s, small holes sometimes can be patched. Fuck up a side wall you may be pissing in a cup, that tire probably $ 2500.00. Big Catapiller 657 scraper tires earth mover, $ 25,000.00 per tire !
I have heard of a 657 tire letting go and demolishing a service truck like a bomb hit it, tires are over 7 foot tall.
