Does anyone park on train tracks?

With a hand cuffed 20yr old woman in the locked in your car, then when a train comes instead of risking your life to attempt to save her from your idocracy, you yell “stand back”

I’d wager if I did this I’d be spending the rest of my life in jail and my estate would be liquidated, guessing they’ll get a paid vacation and maybe not make their next promotion, and the taxpayers, who did nothing wrong, will pay her family

Hopefully the person makes it ok

Two things will work out well though. Whatever charges there were are gone now. And this person will never need to work again when their attorney gets finished

Hopefully the 20yr old woman, the victim, will have a life worth living, not paralyzed with 24/7 pain and shitting in a bag taped to her, or a major disfiguration or something

Also all that money should come from the police pension fund, not the poor working tax payers

I don’t think there is any silver lining here

yeah but don't forget all the great things he's done all the other days that goes unnoticed or celebrated....

fuck the police. Not because I think they're all evil, but they're witness to a lot of bad policing that they turn a blind eye to in order to preserve their pensions, ranks 'brotherhood' blah blah.

When you don't help solve a problem you know is on going, you are part and complicit to the problem. Fuck 'em.

Park? Pfft…. I drive on the tracks.

This can’t be real…

I mean if it was one local cop that was drinking heavily then maybe. There were at least three officers there.

You mean to tell me not a single one had the common sense to tell idiot cop #1 to get the hell off the tracks?

This brings gross negligence, reckless endangerment and sheer incompetence to a new level.

if I were a lawyer I'd go for some version of Rico as I'd have to believe they had conspired in the past to cover shit up. There has to be some law or charge when a group of officers don't enforce the law against their own.

Its the police. They come in well below the average my man. They aren’t thinkers. They are yes men.

My first sergeant at my first unit out of basic on the first day that I met him said "just remember, one "awe shit" erases a lifetime of "attaboys", so don't fuck up."

That video is an awe shit that nearly cost a person their life. Was it a lapse in judgement? Or just a shitty scenario? No clue. I wasn't there, and I haven't watched all the video so I just don't know for sure. I do think is that there was a little bit of Uvalde syndrome, coupled with some stupidity and laziness.

Police aren't perfect, they're still human. I do have a problem with departments and other officers turning a blind eye to bad officers.

Gross negligence?

They are “experts” on the law, especially traffic law as that’s most of what police spend their time on

Also it’s soo blatant, plus the call “stand back”?

I’d go attempted murder 2 all day long
Tack on danger to the train
Danger to the surrounding areas if it derailed
Destruction of government property
Any federal laws concerning the tracks

Etc etc

Guess they thought the train would bow to their “authority”?

Ether way, when grade kids know not to fuck around the tracks, there is zero excuse for a adult who isn’t medically found to be mentally unqualified to care for themselves

The fact that they weren’t arrested and booked tells you all you need to know about the police today

Bad day to be a suspect but maybe karma was at play.

big fan of your work sir, never had one of my rigs painted, but always enjoyed seeing people's pics of your work. Cheers.

Quote from the second link.
"Video ends with the cops searching for evidence"
So they can cover their ass? Well, the suspect had some marijuana in the vehicle so.... They deserved to get hit by the train? Or You fucking idiots! What were you thinking? Well sarge we found a joint in their car.

Ive seen first hand what a train will do to a car. How she survived is a wonder. I hope she owns the cop shop but the reality is it will get covered up and she will get a settlement paid for by taxes.

1) I hope she lives and fully recovers (It appears she'll live from tweets)
2) I hope they fire the IDIOT cop

Damn pesky trains, always sneaking up on people.
Yeah, you never know where one will turn up. They should really have a separate movement system, and some sort of warning where it interacts with the motor vehicle system. Or, some visual signal like a bright-ass light on the front of the engine. Or maybe a really fricken loud horn. Maybe all of them. Anyone know someone that works for the railroad? I have some ideas I want to float…

That's called "hiring practices" and it's been a major failing of police and sheriffs ever since the last couple of gulf wars provided a steady stream of combat veterans and police departments snapped them up like candy. Turns out military and police are meant to be very culturally different. Now that they're the same the same hiring standards apply. 28 on the ASVAB and 4 years guarding a gate at some post if BFE, congratulations you're cop material.

Pfftt, you’re not safe anywhere from trains. I was involved in moving this pile of shit back to the tracks it belongs on. I hope I never meet this fucking retarded driver, fuck him

Nothing is fool proof to a sufficiently determined fool.

I rolled up on a derailed train out on a back road years ago, it was still moving down the tracks a ways. Grain and box cars accordioned and piled up s far as you could see the first derailed car stopped a few feet from a business on the tracks, shit was crazy to see.

Oddly enough, the other side of the crossing was a business with a small yard where they repaired rail cars...

Rail was straight there too and then hits an S curve, guess maybe they were speeding and hit the E-brake or something?

There’s a sharp curve right there that has already caused a big accident, hilariously it involved the same train as this time. But not hilariously, the last time some lady was thrown into a step well. Her foot was forced in between the door and the frame and she ended up having her foot amputated

I don’t think they need to fire him

He should be booked for attempted murder 2, and when found guilty be terminated

In the end the taxpayers will be the ones taking in the rear.

The police will get a paid vacation and a little, please don't do that again speech then be back on the highways being a danger to themselves and others.

I'm assuming the railroad is probably going to get a pretty good piece of the taxpayer as well for damages.

Those police should be sitting in prison for attempted murder.

They see the train coming, they just all step back and enjoy watching the woman possibly die (which I'm sure they were hoping for).
