Sidearms & Scatterguns Holster for glock 17 with rmr and suppressor

Trex arms Ragnarok SD is my preference when using that light.

It retains to the light not the gun so any pistol with that light works. With or without suppressor.

I just sold my setup as I’m moving my suppressed pistol use solely to a FNX 45 T. and a ruger 22/45.

Pistol suppressors don’t get near as hot as carbine/rifle ones do

What do you recommend doing with a hot suppressed pistol after real world use…..

Setting it on the range table and letting it cool off isn’t an option.

Any quality Kydex holster designed for such a thing will be fine for moderate use.

Most guys requiring such a thing aren’t running 3-4 mags through then reholstering

I shoot 2-5 rounds usually and reholster without any issues for my specific use.

Just trying to figure out OP expectations. As you pointed out, not really a run and gun setup.

Except for .22lr I do not try to holster suppressed pistols. I tend to use my pistols with enough volume that they would melt most holsters. I mostly consider suppressed centerfire pistols range toys that do not need suppressor attached holsters.

I have pistol and rifle caliber SBRs better suited for field work. If I take a pistol suppressor and pistol into the field they are stored separately if I bring a suppressor at all.

What is your need for having a pistol with suppressor attached holstered, but no expectations for more than 2-5 shots?

You may also like the Xfer holster

It sounds like you don’t have a need for one…. The OP needs one. Thus he asked.

You have no need for one… and thus no knowledge or insight to offer the OP other than asking why he needs or wants it.

So I’m trying to understand your need to comment at all With none of the above to offer…. That being said.

I use a suppressed 45 and suppressed 22 for finishing animals at night that are shot in volume. (Pigs) that are shot with a suppressed rifle. Which is attached to a tripod With a thermal. And I don’t wear ear pro or desire to lose any more of my hearing.

The suppressed 22 is used for small game or nuisance animals around properties I hunt.

I find suppressed firearm use most polite and discreet in the areas I hunt.

I carry a handgun. While afield. So it’s suppressed. Like any other firearm I carry

It makes 0 sense to me owning a range toy/gun suppressor…. But here we are.

The things that make America great.

At one point I went round and round trying to figure this out. Once you add a suppressor to the mix, I finally reluctantly accepted the idea that the holster is going to direct what suppressed pistol I’m going to use, or the holster will direct which light I will use.

And I found the Cyre gun clip to be the most elegant solution if you want to carry a pistol with a suppressor outside of a chest pack. I’m low speed and high drag, but the thing is really quite elegantly designed. Certain lights work too. But not sure about an RMR.

It will attach to molle, say, on the outside of a flat chest rig or it will thread through your belt. It doesn’t seem to allow for use with a thick belt, but maybe I just haven’t figured that out? Perhaps I need to force it harder.

If you want to get more complicated, I believe surefire makes the Masterfire holster, which locks onto certain lights versus certain pistols.

You can also get surplus London bridge universal holsters (for example) and cut part of the bottom out. I found that this works but it’s just too involved and heavy and will require lots of futzing to deal with suppressor high sights not catching on things.

Finally, you can get a Hill People Gear chest rig, which are designed in part to carry a pistol concealed. Buy a small pistol and add a small suppressor, like the Gemtech Aurora II. Rules out your Glock 17 though.

I apologize if that came off aggressive or abrasive… I meant neither
All good, I was not trying to meddle either. I wanted to share my experience that suppressors can get hot enough to melt holsters and brand skin. I think that is well covered by now so hopefully nobody gets buyers remorse from unrealistic expectations.

My setup for a G17 without a light.....Safariland ALS-P2 holster.

Never could find a holster for this early '90's P226 wet dream setup. It's been my experience, that something has to be eliminated from the setup, either light or suppressor to find a proper
holster.

You might give London Bridge Trading in VA a call, in 1996 they fabricated the HK Mk23 holsters for Crane Naval Weapons ; no light attached for their holster either.

Good luck. Let us know what you settle on.

Want something to walk around the property with when I have my crotch goblins and can’t carry a rifle. Also to not boat their ears if I see a guilty animal

Also to use at a gas gun comp. possibly.
No, I mean what holster did you buy or are leaning towards? A penny for your thoughts, my good man.

I've tried them all and this one's the best I've found but you still can't sit down without it popping up and out, which can get sketchy real quick with a Glock. Perhaps running a thigh strap would help keep the can from stabbing into my truck seat and popping out.

Also this is way less of an issue with a 19/45 in k config vs my 17 or 34 with the rugged obsidian 9 in full config.

Have run the SureFire holster for a few years. Glock21 with RMR and osprey45. It’s my suppressed finishing pistols when hunting pigs at night.
If driving on a 4wheeler all night it works great. Same thing when dismounted. However, it is a royal PITA when using a regular vehicle, side by side, or even a golf cart. Just gets in the way trying to get in and out, and puts pressure on belt that is not comfortable.
I’ll typically take the entire holster and pistol off prior to getting in and put on floorboard, then reattach when I get out (safariland PALS).
Honestly, the holster is just ok, have had some issues the more I’ve used it with consistent draw release. Also not the biggest fan of the Surefire switch on the light itself that the holster mounts to.
More often than not lately it gets left in the truck and I just put another suppressed rifle shot in them up close if needed.
If I did it all over again I’d probably get a Maxim9, and still May end up going that route in the future.

Haven’t read any of the comments, but you might as well single point sling that monstrosity…..
