That thing looks like just a honey of a rifle, very nice build man.
Got the same combo with a S&B on top. Totally awesome.
600 yards with factory ammunition. The wind was so strong it blew my target off the staples, this one was glued on underneath it. Disregard the shot on the top right, that wasn’t me the target was already shot. 
Glad I am not the only who tapes the receiver to protect it from from brass.
I thought he was covering the serial for the picture?
And I thought the brass love taps were a badge of honor on Surgeons. All of mine have it. Scars and souvenirs
Ah, Tac Ops... when the shot "blowing" your 600 yd group up to .5 MOA wasn't fired by you. ;-)
It’s both. I originally taped it to cover the numbers, but I saw all of the nicks so I just left it on.
This target was already shot to hell, so I put one over it and the wind ended up blowing mine off. So I just shot this one low (or so I thought) the shot marker system is zeroed one moa low so that the bench rest guys don’t shoot the x off the target. I thought I was hitting low to avoid getting mixed up in their shots but it was actually spot on. Worked out for me anyway because I got the correct dope.

What makes you determine to go with two piece bases vs one?
I'm assuming if the receiver manufacturer has an integral one piece than the decision is made for you, otherwise your preference is two?

years ago i remember reading that a 1 piece could induce more stress to the action because the mount is stronger than a scope tube
article might have been from precision shooting
not sure if it holds true anymore with cnc, integral rails etc
i can imaging the older actions and machining quality, it might have been a problem
for sure mikeR knows more than i do though
On the Remington 700 the 1 piece bases stress the receiver.. Remember it's the accumulating of errors when building a platform that you want to avoid , that is one of them. Plus for the agencies Top loading is much easier and if you have a malfunction you can reach and grab the round if you don't want to drop your floreplate in the field...

I know these rifles are optimized for ultra-precision at the accepted ranges for their respective cartridges. However, I thought I would add here that the precision and lack of tolerance stacking allowed me several confirmed hits at a mile with a Delta 51 shooting FGMM 175s at the Cameo range in Colorado and repeatable hits at 1k with almost boring consistency. This rifle continues to impress at every level and draws attention everywhere it goes from those in the know. I would not have even bothered to attempt taking this long-range precision course without knowing in advance I was using the best equipment in my caliber (.308). Thanks, Mike R. for such a fine piece of equipment/art.

Anyone using a suppressor cover with Mikes can? I know this was mentioned in another thread but I wanted to ask whats a good fit.
Mike's .30 cal suppressors are 8" long and 1.62" in diameter.
I use the Rifles Only MAD cover and it fits perfect. Precision Underground (my new favorite suppressor cover), can make a suppressor cover that would fit perfectly as well.

Armageddon makes one to fit you perfect. Enter the dimensions on their website. Mine shipped in like 2 days
I got the SASR from Tab Gear, just like the others I have on a TBAC Ultra 7, Ops Inc 3rd and 12th Models.
I ended up going with Cole-Tac and have been very happy. I don't think you can make a bad decision based on what has been mentioned but for me, those damn draw strings / cords drive me nuts. I like the two-piece design too. Not quite as bulky as my Armageddon cover
