These two cheaters were lucky to get out of there alive…

for one I think competitive fishing is kinda silly, so no care

Two, I guess they didn’t donate their fish to the food bank, and I doubt as they are not 400lbs that they ate all of that fish, seeing it’s not a invasive species, well now I’m on the fuck those two band wagon

Surprised no one got the fish cops involved, I’d be ok with them being banned from getting a fishing license again

Tournament bass fisherman are fanatical assholes. The petty grudges they have for each other, they go blasting by here at daylight like they're in Miss Budweiser, racing other middle age chickenshits to the hot spots.

One of them told me the different ways they cheat, how to add weight and stretch a fish to win at any cost.

Well....they got off easy. There's a time for beat downs, and crowd had their chance. These guys will move on and not have any heartburn. Oh...spank my hand...this tournament check will never be sent to their accounts....that will be that.

For the "past" winnings....well that's dust in the wind. At best you get the Fish and Wildlife agency to revoke any rights to hunting and fishing forever.

If anything the people that know them need to hound them at every turn, the internet makes the world pretty small these days.

There's big money in these tournaments, hell, there's even some college tournament teams and they give out scholarships for fishing. I know a guy who is an insurance agent/farmer by day and a tournament fisherman on the weekends. He's getting out of it now, but Ranger was giving him a new boat every year that was his. He was able to sell it at the end of the season-and these are like $80K boats. Just stupid money.

Dude here in a local tournament would fish all week till tourney day. He had cages out in the water and would put his biggest catches in em. Put several craw dads in cage to keep em fat. Get em out day of tourney. Cheating morherfuckers. When money is involved, there will be cheating

These guys won $306,000 last year plus a Ranger boat/trailer. Probably a $100,000 setup

I camped on and fished up and down this lake from dam to dam, including below the cabin here, since I was a kid. Some of my best memories are with buddies in a 14' aluminum flat bottom w/ a 6hp. Johnson motor float fishing with a bucket of minnows and catching the heck out of crappie and bass, dressed in jeans, white t shirts with a pack of cigarettes rolled up in the sleeve.

Now, I can be fishing a shoreline and some turds come blasting up in some $100,000 boat dressed like they're driving in NASCAR with company logos and start casting feverishly with grim expressions before throttling up and roaring off.

Thats supposed to be fun?

The boat and motor you mentioned welded my brothers, daughters and grandsons to fishing,, keeping it simple and fun… Good Post!!🇺🇸⚡

Friend of mine does competitive bass fishing. There is big bucks involved in 1st place. I'm shocked there was not a worse outcome on this.

I shoot F class mid and LR. Number of years ago when we were still pulling targets, there was a guy scoring that something didn't look right. Match director grabbed a spotting scope and stood behind him and watched him. He was scoring X's and 10's for his buddy that were 9's. He tapped him on shoulder and said, pack your shit and go home, we don't do that here!

I don’t think Fish and Game has any authority here, as they weren’t illegally taking fish.

They don’t even need to throw a line any more.

Guys will roll up on me, slow down to 4 or 5 mph to get a glimpse of what’s going on with their side imaging, then take off again.

Here’s the video:

I sure hope at the very least, they are made to forfeit all previous prizes and banned for life…

I've seen this level of chickenshit cheating in pistol matches. One was where a time keeper was shaving time off certain shooters times at each stage until the shooter won.

The time keeper was a cop and the shooters he was cheating for were also cops. Big surprise.

It was rather obvious because when he called out the other shooters times it was immediate but when he checked the time for Team Thin Blue Line there would be a pause while he studied the display window before finally announcing the time, which was always faster than the other shooters.

No, but I bet there were a set of rules of the tournament contenders were given and had to agree to including tampering with their catch and turning in fish they hadn't caught during the tournament.

I'm sure laws were broken that day but it would be hard to prove they cheated previously and would have to give any winnings back.

Doubt any fish and game violations. Fraud would be most likely charge

My point was that PRS cheating has happened and will happen as in any other competitive arena. People are people, simple as that. It’s just a question of who of them gets caught.

shame no one stuffed weights in them and mounted them to a wall that would have made a great picture . what happens to and is deserved by cheaters

Do they release the fish after weighing??? If so then I would say yes.
That’s where I’m coming from. Endangerment of a game species. But I don’t know how it goes. Competition fishing to me seems like a racket all the way around. And trying to watch that on TV is as boring as golf.

I thought all the outdoors people were supposed to be violent thugs, where's the mass shooting over this?

I hate tournament bass fisherman. Some super intense fucker wearing some logo shirt for a sponsor giving pro tips on TV on how to 'break a lake down' or 'lure presentation' and saying shit like "If you want to start getting on better quality fish..."

Better quality fish? No fucker, we want to catch a mess of crappie and bass and drink some beer.

I work with a couple guys that fish tournaments like this. Lake Michigan mainly. Majority of the time they have to keep them alive. Actually penalized if they die. Then yes they are released

Some are not like that. I’m guessing from the way these fish look in the pics that it’s a donation. Something like Feed America likely takes them if not wanted

The fish they hold up in pics in the longer video appear to be dead. And the ones they cut open are definitely dead prior
