@Enough Said - @PlinkIt should love them colors. haha

Yo, @PlinkIt - def missed you and @metalicat at PA this year.....hope all is well and maybe next year. But if you show up with toe nail polish you'll have to shoot on the other range! haha

Cheers
That's exactly the colors I got on mine

Everything is going good now Baron! I hate I missed all yall in the class too! Lord willing I'll be there next year if yall are going again. Ima catch the circus somewhere doing rounds again in the next year so i can take the pr2 as well.

Ima show up with a hand full of Taylor's sac so he can show me how to squeeze it and see if it that helps

If that don't work I'll try more toenail polish

I was able to shoot this 200yd 0.320" group the first time out with the new bag. It's a solid product that works very well. I have many other brands/styles that are similar sized...but this is definitely my new favorite.

In our classes this summer, which were practically full lines of this bag, we found that our students' groups reduced drastically, especially the 200 and 300 yard groups we shot on paper.

Stability and consistency are everything. This bag makes inconsistency a distant memory.

Thanks for all your great feedback.

To those of you who have trained with me or have purchased one of my rear bags, you know how I feel about compromising stability. By tilting the rear bag in order to make it shorter, you have created a hinge in your rear stability and recoil will exploit that hinge. I asked you never to compromise stability by compromising the the upright rigidity of the rear bag.

For those shots taken at an uphill angle, and your bipod legs are maxed out... I offer you 10 full mils of COMPROMISE.

This bag is one inch shorter, slightly narrower, and of course five ounces lighter than the original bag.

Available *NOW*. :-] --- Taylor

Boy ain’t that the truth. I bet you remember Frank dropping down on my gun and hitting at 800 at Mifflin a bit late in the day. Then I drop down, same dope, I’m a bit tired and lazy, and I’m consistently high over the target until you straightened out my use of the rear bag. Then, I was spot on.

Such a small change made such a big difference.

And personally I wouldn’t ship bags to anyone who doesn’t post feet pics! Lol

Hope you and yours are well and thriving. Keep those sewing machines humming. :p

I went out last Friday and tested the bag out again. I set a six place 25yd small bore target at 100yds and proceed to do some scope testing. I already did a box test and it passed. Here I dialed up the elevation and wind and then back down to zero for six individual shots from the bench. What a great rear bag 🎯(y)

NO bag provides the consistent support that this bag does, and the groups shot with it attest to that.
Group shooting demands a shot-to-shot consistency that steel shooting does not if we are hitting and moving on. Steel shooters appreciate the ease of spotting impacts or misses because the recoil comes straight back and the position does not need to be rebuilt after each shot.
Nothing changes.

Thanks for keeping me busy shipping bags, shooters. Sent one off to New Zealand yesterday. LOL

OK, so I have a n00btastic rear bag related question... why don't we like angled stocks/bag riders for minute adjustment of elevation with consistent rear bag engagement? Is it because the position of the rear bag also needs to stay the same?

I've absolutely been (still am?) the guy with shitty, inconsistent rear bag use. I've been the "why am I high?" or "why is my DOPE not right?" guy because my bag was either angled under the stock or soft enough that I couldn't engage the bag consistently through the shot. I grabbed a loaner bag just to get through a course because, until then, I didn't truly appreciate just how bad it/I was. Through my own incompetence experience, I am pretty confident I understand what this bag seeks to do and why.

The part I am unclear on is whether and how much the shape of the stock matters and why.

I'll defer to wiser voices, but I think the general ideas is there is no such thing as 'consistent rear bag engagement' with an angled rear bag.

I assume that the angles will allow the rifle to become unsupported under recoil and a little more random on return

A bench gun that can track straight in bags and return to front post will be very repeatable, but one that bounced or angles each time is a constant fight to get back on target

While I think it's possible for you to be repeatable with the less than perfect set up here... I think Frank called it something like a "great bad shooter" or something like that... if you could do certain things that were bad but do them so consistently that you shoot well

Getting the rifle to track on a rear bag is trying to further the idea of belly bench rest and gaining the mechanical consistency to allow us to suck more with consistency and still look like proficient shooters when a group in put on paper

Think of it as shooting five one shot groups vs one five shot groups is how somebody said it that helped it make sense to me

Disclaimer: all above information is from a slightly educated idiot that is making SWAG (scientific wild ass guess) statements

I ll be on that , I used the bag this weekend for the first time. It is awesome but I did in fact have my legs maxed out and did against my will have to lean the bag back to get reticle in the center. It was blowing 28mph but the bag even tho I compromised my position is the best I have tried so far. I will want the shorter one also. Thx

@Enough Said

I ordered a bag on the 18th and immediately got a shipping notice. Since then it shows the same status. Any idea when it will go out?

If you ordered it on the 18th, it went out on the 19th at the latest, trust me. I ship daily. PM me with your name and I'll track it from here. We will get a bag to you one way or another. -- Taylor

If your bag rider is angled, then your recoil across the bag may also be angled. Consistency is paramount, but I prefer no angle to my bag rider.

Guys / Gals, once you order a bag, you should be receiving it in max 3-4 days. If a week passes, contact me please. USPS sucks ass and some bags have completely disappeared into thin air.

I want the bag in your hands even more than you want it. It fixes problems.
