Sig Kilo 10k ABS

Is everyone happy with theirs, or are there still a lot of software issues?

I think the sig software is among the best in the business. Using sig10k to garmin is seamless. sig10 to kestrel is a little clutzy. sig standalone is super fast and produces good AB based solutions. Only downside I have is the blue tint which I've become accustomed to as the tradeoff for the laser/bluetooth/software working so well.

Newest firmware fixed the pixelated grid reticle and gave me compass bearing (finally. I know some people already had that.).

Downside, it deleted all my profiles.

Sig needs to have a backup feature (like Kestrel) to backup profiles.

Will update mine and see if I'm g2g as well

Im three months into using kilo 10. Used for several Centerfire and rimfire matches and lots of training. Solutions have been fast, accurate and match other AB solutions. Center fire to 1400yards. Rimfire to 535.

In the past three weeks Ive tried to pair my Sig kilo 10 with a tactics 7, Base Map and a kestrel. Sig kilo 10 is set to BDX external. kestrel shows its paired but does not register any Data. Base map shows its paired but does not register a reading. The tactix 7 will not find it when searching to connect.

Anyone have similar issue? Sent Sig an an email but its the weekend so I thought Id see if the tribe here has any experience. Does Sig have a presence here? I'ver scaned several threads... if they are here Ive missed it.

Is the battery life a little weird for anyone else? I kill the batteries much quicker with my 10ks than other LRF binos I’ve owned.

Could be coincidental and the batteries were drained or something before I put them in. So, I wanted to see if anyone else is noticing a lesser batt life.

Haven’t replaced my batteries yet. Probably shot 5-6 matches, 4-6 days of prairie dog blasting, and lots of setting up practice ranges and screwing around. I’m honestly impressed with the battery life.

I have never owned other ranging binos but my old hand held leicas would have been dead by now

Yeah I’m worried there’s some kind of fault. I’ll get through team match or a couple of range days and randomly they’re dead. I’m trying some fresh newly purchased batteries but my old sigs and fury’s haven’t had such a a high rate of turn over.

That doesn’t sound right. I’m changing my batteries this week just because I’m heading to a 3 day match and don’t want any issues.

You’re not alone at least in BaseMap. I’ve never been able to do the remote marker stuff they advertise.

I haven't had to replace mine yet and I have used mine pretty heavily on as well.

Yeah I’m pretty sure something is up.. but I’ll run through one more brand new pack of 2. Then I reach out to sig.
On the the plus side if you do send them in, my boy @Mr. F broke the eye cups on some and sent them in and sig had them repaired and back in hand I think in just under a week iirm

I broke one of my eye cups this weekend and going to send it in after next weekends match. Glad to hear it’s a fast turn around.

Communication between the 10k and BaseMap is slllloooowwww as Joe Biden when the media asks him a question. If you just wait 30sec or so without getting impatient and pushing buttons it will show up. Not sure what is up with it as it isn't always that slow, but sometimes it is. Give it a try. Just pretend your waiting for Joe to figure out what room he's in or why he's in the white house and Barack isn't around.

The 10k's I'm testing are still on the first battery. Lots of ranging and still going. I think you probably have an issue where the battery is slowly draining when the unit is not in use. Try taking the battery out whenever the unit is not in use. See how long a battery lasts then.

Is there a way to modify the data provided in the display? I'd specifically like to remove velocity and energy. Thanks.

I have had some peculiar battery drain on my 8k monocular. I've had the same battery in my 2400AB for a long time and many laze's, and switched the battery at least twice now on 8k with way less usage. We'll see how long this one lasts....

Not sure if this has been addressed in this thread or not but I have a pair of the Sig BDX 3000 and would like to know what advantages I'm getting by upgrading to the 10K? They seem to have the same class laser and beam divergence?

This might be a stupid question but does anyone know what “sight scale vertical/horizontal” is in the BDX app. My kilo always has me a few inches off. Verified my velo, picked the right bullet from the chart and verified scope height and zero. Only thing left to play with is “sight scale” and idk what it means

Did you true your muzzle velocity?

Someone else please correct me if I’m wrong but I believe sight scale helps account for optic tracking issues.

Sight scale is the correction factor for deviations in the magnitude of your rifle scopes adjustments. This is for situations such as when your reticle moves 9.9 mils when your turret moves 10.0. This sort of deviation is quite common and this setting allows it to be totally compensated for. This is a feature only in the elite version of AB.

This may seem like a really dumb question… But I don’t know that it’s been covered… Does the Sig10K work with a Garmin tactix Delta elite?

I don’t own either device you mentioned, but you might check out this thread , particularly around message #21…

I use the sig10k with the tactix 7 elite, and it works well. Electronically/bluetooth, my setup links instantly and without fuss, and it works so well I use it in find/range/shoot comps.

I have used the same sig10k with the kestrel, and it is pretty slow and the linking works, but its slower and more fussy. I assume the kestrel bluetooth stack is just a little older. I know a guy who uses RF binos (not the 10k) to his kestrel target card for comps and he has the scheme figured out, when to turn things on, make a fake range, etc to get the link working and it seems to work well, but there are a couple steps in his process I don't have. I literally just find my targets and start ranging, then hitting the next target button on the watch.

I seem to be missing something here. If the 10K has onboard AB and full weather data sensing including wind speed, what advantage would there be to pairing with a kestrel or Tactix 7 Elite?

Is there a way to import profiles into the 10k other than manually entering each profile? I've tried and search and google and can't seem to find anything

Yes on the bdx app...click on custom profiles

Sorry, should have been more specific. After the latest firmware update my profiles were deleted. Is there anyway to get them back other than manually re-entering them.
Are you talking they were deleted on the 10k? Or off your phone?

You can repush the profiles from your phone back to the 10k.

If you don't have your phone profiles up to date you are screwed

Hi! When I enter the temperature into the KILO 10K binoculars manually, without the BDX application, the DA data is not displayed correctly when measuring the distance. If you enter the temperature through the BDX application, then the DA will be correct. Is it possible to fix it?
