That looks like a bead blasted finish to me.

Blast the whole barreled action after the barrel is replaced?

If you buy a stainless barrel, have it bead blasted to match the action, it won't be a perfect match unless barrel and action are done at the same time (not necessarily screwed together tho).

If you buy a carbon steel barrel, have it bead blasted and electroless nickel plated. Google any company that does electroless nickel plating. You want a specialist company that does this, not some gunsmith.

Not a perfect match, nickeled action, stainless barrel, but this little fellow Can Shoot.

if you look closely you will see a slight reddish tint on the action, particularly noticeable on the bolt shroud. Technically not the greatest picture.
