Cadex Defence, flaunt it if you've got it!

Here's my Mk15 Mod 1, it's 1 of 3 that were built using actual McMillan Bros M88 SASR PIP contract overrun receivers and the NSN version of Cadex's .50 BMG chassis. The scope is a contract overrun Schmidt & Bender PSR 5-25x56 in Ops AWP PSR gen 1 rings. So, this is as close to a legit Mk15 as you can get without enlisting! Also, thank you Cadex for helping with the chassis, without your assistance this unique project would have never been completed!

What/why ? .. the assortment of the ( 3 ) Badger PVS9 SIMRAD caps . was agency purchase, with them having a 3-piece cap set ?
learn something every day .. I did not know the PVS9 mounted on the cantilever ring cap , was even rated for the .50 recoil ?

Those simrad caps are in the photo because they were sent to me in the case with everything else, I forgot to move them out of the way when taking the photo (they aren't on the rifle in the other pics either). Those simrad caps are not for the Mk15, they were made for some other sniper rifle, I was told an early Mk13 variant. They're titanium prototypes, only a few were ever made.

Which tan cerakote is close to the Cadex tan chassis colour? I'm wanting to match a BA to a chassis

Just a fyi. Terminus plus lite strike = aw mags function flawlessly with 6.5 creedmoor. I'll try 308 when my other barrel comes in next week

Trying out the Ergo Vertical grip. I Like the feel. Going to order the new Cadex grip on the 7 STARS gun when they ship to US distributors. Feels great in "thumb over" mode .👍

Is anyone running a long action R7 in a field/comp lite chassis? Can you add a full length top pic rail to that chassis? (Similar to the CPS etc)

Anybody figure out a way to put clip-on's on a LiteComp? Cadex used to make a NVG rail that you drill into the fore-end rail, but doesn't look like they carry it anymore.

The Strike Nuke has a rail adapter. They should offer one for the Field/Lite Comp

It's the little things...
The Cadex Vertical grip with its beaver tail definitely gives a better "purchase" feel than the ERGO version.

Added the center Picatinny rails to add "flats" to aid in locking in the rifle when sitting on a Game Changer bag. Prior to getting these the rifle was shifting under recoil. This fix took 50% of that movement out for my shooting style.

The Rails also act as a barricade bumper to protect the 56mm scope objective. A little bonus there.

And finally the Cadex Arca rail adapter for future RRS shenanigans 😎

Is this what you are looking for? Pick the option for “Universal 9″ NVD Rail”

I need to get a couple better pictures because the details really make this fun, but this should give an idea. Always wanted a cerakote job with a little pizzas so I had my Comp Folder given a little Boba Fett theme.

Yeah it's a roughly 8.5" barrel but that will sling good ammo an awful long way (500+ yards). Is it the ideal rifle to shoot 500 yards? Of course not. Is it fun as hell? Absolutely.

I’ve been looking for some inspiration for my next build, looks like I just found it. I love my semi auto 300 Blk rifles but haven’t seen the need to build a bolt gun in the caliber until now. Well done on yours, it is absolutely one of the best looking rifles I’ve seen in quite some time. If you have any other pictures, I’d love to see them.

OMG🤯...that bad boy has "Black Ops Sniper" written all over it!! If it had a name, it would be "Nightshade".
I know that you have switched to an Eotech Vudu, but was curious to know what scope setup you have pictured?

That is a FLIR PTS536 Pro thermal system. They are no longer produced but can be found secondhand. For daylight use I was running a Trijicon 1-8 in APA rings before I switched to the Vudu.

I just ordered one of these in 300NM with a spare standard mag bolt for WM/PRC
300 Norma is the way to go; 300 PRC at 2000 is just a little light in heavy wind, and IMHO brutal to spot hits. Invest in Lapua brass, you'll get frustrated with the Hornady cases and resultant SD's. Nice thing with the 338 bolt, is you can just grab a 33XC barrel and single feed for 3000 yards.

In no way does this answer your question but I am guessing by the asking that you are left handed. I’m currently shooting the Cadex Kraken in .338 Lapua Magnum, .300 Win Mag and .308 Winchester. Due to a condition with my right eye (dominant) I have been forced to shoot left handed using my weak eye (left) for about the last 2 years. Surprisingly, after some getting used to it I now find it preferable, at least on a bolt gun, to right eye/right hand. I may be missing the point entirely or don’t know what I don’t know. But I find it completely intuitive to cycle the action with my strong hand (right) while keeping my trigger hand (left) where it belongs. The Kraken came with two combs, one for righties and one for lefties. I switched to the left handed comb and I honestly believe if my right eye suddenly healed itself I would still shoot left handed. I’m not the world’s best shooter, but I’m a good shooter and this works perfectly for me.
Do you know if the make that lefty comb for the 408 and 50BMG? Thanks

Thanks! And yea same here lost my right eye and now shoot lefty. Didn't see the larger calibers in left hand action which is fine I have taught myself to utilize both ways, just thought the comb set up for right hand shooters wouldn't set right for me shooting left hand. Do you know run a left hand action?

Anyone have a clip on (specifically a ClipIR) on a LiteComp chassis? Not too sure it would sit low enough on the fore end to line up with the optic.

Has anyone here used a sling with your Lite Comp builds or factory guns ? Specifically the Chassis , not the Nuke. Thinking of running mine in a future Mammoth Sniper Challenge and I would use the sling "aggressively" . Curious if anyone has feedback from the field on how it holds up to torquing down to stabilize a shot. The attachment method of the Handguard/mirage tube makes me curious.
Thnx
~ TP....

I run mine with a sling in matches all the time. Of course i dont have any pics or videos with it...The sling point hasn't had any issues that I've seen.

Well if yours if holding up then I should have no problem. Your setup is waaaay beefier than my 16 lb build.

Thanks brother 😎

Haha yeah, I think the 26" 6.5 creed came in around 19-20...give or take.

It's a little lighter now, but I'm sure everything I've ever ran it with was heavier than 16#. Except maybe when I used it for my RimX. 🤷‍♂️
