We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!

Time to call my rep. 96 long days. They should pass a law that they must return $2 every day that goes by without approval. They would be quick to get them done.
I'm at day 102, and I'm also impatient. I bought 7/4/22 and certified 7/7/22. Calling your rep isn't going to change anything as THOUSANDS of people are in front of us--most have been waiting even longer.

Believe it or not, but if SS and my dealer had been more realistic about the expected wait times, I wouldn't be bitching at all.....I hate waiting so I wouldn't have made the purchase.

If it weren't for forums like this, it's easy to think that the whole process goes pretty quick. If it weren't for being able to point fingers at the .gov part of this process, any company advertising "fast turnaround times" would be out of business and likely sued for false advertisement.

I said it before: I should have bought a cheap lathe and made a F1 can instead. It would have been pretty close to the same expense, but after tooling up and making that first one, I could crank out as many as I want to for just the cost of materials and tax stamps. This is the route I'm taking for all future cans--If I'm going to have to wait, I might as well wait for my own shit and quit paying the middleman.

Remember that the FBI is also culpable in this process.

I got the call today, my stamp is in! I wanted for a hunting trip that I'm actually leaving for now so I can't even use it but at least it's in.

It helps those that have excessive wait times. Not someone that's half the time of the current standard..
True, but hopefully the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Nothing will happen if nobody tries and just goes about their day living it like " well this is just how it is".
So far, according to the ATF I am above the standard for Efiles. ATF just told me about 40 minutes ago that the average wait was just around 180-190 days. I suspect the current standard will shift, and it won't be in our favor. Anyways, maybe one day someone will listen to our concerns?

Call me an idealist

I am at 224 days and still counting for a suppressor on Efile using single shot trust, certified 9 March 2022.
It’s realistic you will see an approval by a week from today (October 28) or sooner as they are consistently approving 3/9 submissions at this time; with the caveat there are no errors/disqualifications on your submission.

Hopefully! No disqualifications on my side otherwise I couldn't maintain my job.

Ordered 9/24/21 Silencer shop (through local dealer)

Check Cashed 10/5/21

Paper form 4 trust...

The wait continues... but am sure approval will occur any time in the next 1-6 months....

There is no doubt about the FBI, they always claim it's the "background check/prints" that is why its in limbo. Pending means nothing more than they have your money and the form is in the pipe, it's not like someone has actually looked at your form. I find it hard to believe it takes more than 5 minutes to run 1 thumb print to verify you, especially since I've been printed probably 20 times over my career. If your prints are in the system it should be simply a NICS check and it's verified. It is designed IMO to just be a slow walk, no matter what. My fastest approval was a form 1 SBR at ~12 weeks. I think those days may be over??

By all means don't let me discourage you. My post is referring to the guy at just over 90 days saying he's gonna call his rep..

No update, but sitting at Day 157 (May 17th) of my first eForm 4... My 2nd one MIGHT be back before the end of deer season (Feb 2023)... 🙄

Hey ATF, how about a batch approval? It's all electronic, what's one more click of the mouse???

My first one is at 181 days (307 days if you include the denial and the resubmission) and the second is at 139 days. They'll get to me eventually.

There seem to be a few people that it helped. Especially when the rep looked to find out where the problem was in the process for

guys i’m with both of you on this topic. i think it’s good we contact our reps, more than once actually. my rep has wrote an email a couple months ago and then followed up with a phone call to their liaison yesterday. same answer from ATF both times, “ pending, be patient”. the atf has no incentive to be proficient at their jobs. the are not held accountable and what’s worse is that they know it. i was told by my rep they couldn’t give any more info than that. of course i asked my rep , couldn’t or wouldn’t ? what irritates me is that if you can’t give any answers to my questions, then why are you answering the phone ? and this was suppose to be a atf congressional liaison. in my word if i performed my job with that much incompetence i would be fired. maybe if we all contacted our reps on a regular basis that may get tired of hearing from us and actually put some real pressure on the atf to do the jobs we are paying them to do. if nothing else our reps would get the message we are sick of this shit and we are going to keep bugging them until they do something about it. even if you’ve been waiting for only 90 days, i say go for it.
i’m sitting on 219 days myself.
just my 2 cents. for what that’s worth.

Sorry, I meant the one of the last ones filed before eforms started, like late November early December time period.

Still waiting on all.
Picked up the Dead Air on 5/11/2022 and SiCo on 8/5/2022. Free SiCo cans shipped 10/13/2022.

guys i hate to tell you but it doesn’t do any good to write our call your federal reps. been there done that. the ATF tells them the same thing they tell you when calling. “pending,be patient.” your typical government employees. they know they won’t be held accountable for their job performance.
Not true when I engaged my Senator’s office.

Been written up a couple of times in this thread so not going to regurgitate it again.

Cheers

So.... My April 2nd certifies should be at about 300. Aka 10 months. Fuck me.

They're still adding about 2 days per day, right?

Anyone seeing batch approvals with eforms, or was that primarily a paper form thing (I know it’s never been an official policy)?

Nope. Had one approved at 223 days from March 4th and I’m still waiting on two from March 14th and one from May 4th.

Form 4 paper
Cashed Nov 2, 2021
Approved Oct 14, 2022 - just called them
Haven't heard from the dealer about a stamp yet. Hopefully quick.

Still have 3 on eforms from April 2 and June6, so no batch with the paper. Shit.

Dealer just called today with the stamp

Oct 26 stamp arrived at dealer.

Paper form 4 trust 1rp (SS)
Check Cashed 10/13/21
Approved 10/15/22
At dealer 10/26/22

That doesn’t give me much confidence in receiving my two from March 14th anytime soon.
I did some figuring this weekend and they're averaging 2-3 certification days per stamp week.
so like last friday, people on 3/9 were getting stamps and this friday it was 3/12.

You have a real chance at getting yours this week. I'm 3/17 so I'm still at "just two weeks away" just like I have been since around June. :/

Decided to call today, at day 167... Still pending... She said the average right now is 200 days for eForms. WTF! We're a long GD way from 90. This shit is stupid. Can't wait until midterms, and maybe we can find a way to remove them off the NFA and deregulate them. Not holding my breath, but there might be a glimmer of hope if things go Red in both the House and Senate.

Dude I’m like 15 months on a paper form4

Yeah, I've had a few long paper forms... 14 months, and 13 months, back when the average was still 8... I also watched a bunch of eForms come back to my dealer before my 13 month paper form came back. Believe me, I feel your pain.
I’ve had them from 60 days to 1 yr… this is the longest I’ve waited and I have friends who bought theirs after mine and got them already. Prolly be calling the ATF this week and see what’s up.
