Decided to call today, at day 167... Still pending... She said the average right now is 200 days for eForms. WTF! We're a long GD way from 90. This shit is stupid. Can't wait until midterms, and maybe we can find a way to remove them off the NFA and deregulate them. Not holding my breath, but there might be a glimmer of hope if things go Red in both the House and Senate.

We all know 200 day average is a lie, too. It was 200 days 2 months ago, not now. At least they're consistent with every bit of data being behind. I haven't seen an eform under 200 days in a couple months so there's no way the average is that low.

I thought about diving back into the deep end again after just getting my Paper Form 4 approved a few weeks ago after waiting 347 days. But with the avg of 200+ day wait not so sure I want to put myself through this again.

there is a efile mega thread over on reddit. current processing dates are 3/10-3/12. current wait time is 234-235 days. fwiw. the crazy and annoying thing is that last week there were a few 3/18 dates approved. 3/17 certified date for me.

on a side note, i called atf last friday and received the expected response, “pending”. i did have a rather interesting conversation with the lady who answered. i’m asked a few questions about the processes/ wait times/ how many examiners were working/ how many applications were on average approved each day per examiner and how close to completing the paper forms they were. she said that she had been instructed to NOT give out any info except to say “pending”. she said that she had access to all the info that i had asked for but she could not divulge the answers. i have no way of confirming this but she seemed sincere during our conversation. FWIW.

So I had one approved from March 4th at 223 days, I have two from March 14th and one of them got approved a few minutes ago which is 232 days. I’m pretty curious to see if my other one from the same day will get approved today or not.

Most of the ones I've seen lately are more like a week and a half. Mine showed up in just under two weeks from atf land to wa state.

My last one was pretty fast for the stamp to arrive. Maybe I'll actually get to pick this thing up next week. I guess I'll try one of these eForms everyone is so excited about. LOL

We recently posted this March 8 approval, and according to our tracker eForms are averaging 7 months for processing currently.
Please take this in the nicest way possible, but you keep posting this. A full 7 months is roughly 212/213 days.. The current avg that everyone is seeing is 229 - 232 days. It's almost 8 full months, not 7. Stop telling everyone its 7 months..

i’m with you on this. but then again they have posted 7 day approvals in the past without telling the whole story. they just left out the part about the dealer going out of business. not exactly a lie, but omission of all the facts is not quite being totally truthful in their marketing. i bought two from them that were certified on 3/17 and because of their marketing practices i wont be doing business with them in the future.

Totally hear you LSU, the tracker does not indicate .5 of a month, so it will show 7. I will make a suggestion to our team to confront this. - Chase

My second one from March 14th just got approved so recently I’ve had 223, 232 and 233 days. Now I just have the one from May 4th.

thanks i appreciate the info. both my control numbers are in the 349,000 about 80 apart. just trying to get an estimate of how much longer until i get my approval. knowing the atf as well as i do, it’ll probably be december. lol

It really is hard to tell.

I don’t even know how accurate it is going off control numbers, if you look at my last two the one I got approved yesterday is a higher control number then the one that approved today by 214. I’d imagine discrepancies in numbers by more then one day multiply from that.
yes sir, i believe you are correct. there seems to be no rhyme, reason or even common sense for the entire process. just because of my curious and logical nature i’ve gone over lots of control numbers, approval dates and even examiner names to try and deduce what, if any pattern exists within how the atf is processing the applications. i can’t find any logical or rational trains of thought anywhere. but they may be my problem, i’m trying to use logic where it doesn’t exist. lol.
i’ve even seen some 3/18 and 3/19 approvals over on the reddit mega thread over the last week or so.
oh well, no matter what i do or think, it’s still just a hurry up and wait game.

You and I should be getting our stamps within hours of each other.

On your confirmation email if you did an eform. Probably have to get ahold of atf or ffl for the number if paper form.
Thanks Sam.

Well, shit… sounds like I’m a long ways away. Looks like these are individual control numbers (per NFA Item). I purchased 5 over the span of April/May 2022, and all my numbers are between the range of:

2022553541
To
2022553592

So, even though I certified all in May, I got all 5 control numbers on 6/8 from ATF eforms email. Is this my actual “start date” instead of certified dates in May?

If control numbers are relevant, then it looks like I’ve got 215000 approvals ahead of mine.

If we assume an average of 950 approvals/day (going rate according to the control numbers recents posted above) that means I’ve got about 226 more days to go if they don’t speed anything up. So, May 2023. Right at a year. FML.

Might just have to buy a little lathe and crank out some Form1s while I wait!

im sitting at 230 days now. Waiting on my first can to be approved. March 18, 2022 eFile. I remember when they said about 120 days i was excited. 230 days later, and still not here.

Just barely missed the start of efile and was kicking myself after seeing fast turnaround. On the other hand it was essentially 1 year from the day it was made to the day it was in my hands. I’m excited to try on my

Surefire Socom 762 Ti (two of them)
Form 4 paper single shot trust (two of them)
Checks cashed: 11/15/21
Approved Form 4's arrived at dealer: 11/4/22
354 days from cashed to approved at dealer

Just got my approval email for my efile form 4. 227 days later. Kinda odd to me that it was approved on a Saturday as well.

Funny when I was calculating #days on my form 4 approval, mine was approved on a Saturday as well.

Just got the phone call. The stamp is at the dealer. So:

Paper Form4
Pending 11/18/21
Approved 10/26/22
Stamp at dealer 11/5/22

Can’t pick it up until Tuesday unfortunately.

As many know, getting approved isn't the end:
Check cashed 10/8/21
Broke down and called 10/28/22, was approved 9/14/22
Dealer contacted ATF 10/28/22 for F4 copy
???

Good approval time by my estimation, if the stamp had arrived in a timely manner.

Yeah that’s literally right at the 45 day mark that it’s supposed to be at the dealer by. Definitely something amiss.

I know this is a wait time thread if not aloud to ask here please let me know where to ask but I have the surefire RC2 I bought for my axsr 300 win mag barrel but it’s threaded 3/4-24 which is a 338 muzzle device thread with that being said will an rc2 work with a 338 muzzle device?

I efiled my first one Feb 2022 and just got it this past week. I have two more that I filed a couple weeks after the first one. Hoping they come through soon!

My last set of suppressors (4 of them all submitted at different times) came back in 180 days.

3 were paper, one was efile. It was a bit of a shock, give that I waited a year for the last batch…

Day 120. Control number 2022623813.....
I hate waiting.jpg
