Now let's see if Republican voters have actually flipped the switch from being the party that picked guys like McCain and Romney over Ron Paul. I remain unconvinced until it happens repeatedly.

That being said, it might be smarter to get through the midterms before engaging in open combat. That requires only the discipline to hold your fire for a few days. So of course Trump's already failed this test.
