Good episode. Wish I knew what powder that was with the recall???

I’m going to give the 95 Seneca’s a try tomorrow in 6ARC 7T hoping for 2850ish.

Would love to see Josh make cayuga’s for the 350L not many options for .355 hunting bullets meant for rifle.

Hey @BLKWLFK9 Ethan wanted me to thank you again for the ear pro. He also found your lemon head wrapper in the box. Lol

That very lemon head wrapper may be worth Millions one day, as it belonged to my son who will probably be a famous comedian 1 day.. or an infamous serial killer.. who can tell??

And Ethan is very welcome and I hope he enjoys them.

Only serial killers eat lemon heads. I just assumed it was yours. 😂

Just finished the most recent podcast (Truckcast #16) Don't use anything other than here so comment goes here.

Would love to have Chad from @LongRifles Inc. on. Talking about cars motorcycles and gun stuff. That would be a good one to listen to.

It's good to listen to anybody that is passionate about what they do.

What was the name of that camo pattern you mentioned in the truck cast???

Most recent truck cast.

You said you know someone with the same camo pattern on a parachute.

Lol. That was Caylen on his podcast talking about the Stone Glacier thing he jumped in on. I don't know shit about sky diving, homey.

Holy shit, you're right. I just spent 2 full days driving and caught up on about 20 episodes between yours, Phil and Caylen, Lowlights, and Jacob Bynum. I didn't have anything to write down nuggets with so I'm getting stuff intertwined.

Love your no-bullshit podcasts.... especially that intro.

Shooting with young kids..

Today, Jax and I both learned a lot. Ive been having him shoot prone for a couple years. He was 5 and shot my old 6 dasher. The problem was 2 fold. 1st, I couldn't see what he was seeing (need a scope cam) so me trying to explain to a 5 year old of what he needs to be seeing is tough. 2nd is, with his little hands, he struggles manipulating the rear bag to get the reticle on a precise point of aim.

Today, we started shooting prone. What I was having to do was manipulate the bag for him while he was on the gun. He would tell me "up, down, up a little, left, ok" then he would pull the trigger. It wasn't working great. He still hit a relatively small target at 100 yards, putting 2 rounds a little high and about 1/2" apart. Not bad, but we can do better.

So I had a thought. Why not have him shoot standing so he can control the rear of the rifle where he needs to and break a good shot when he was on target on his time? Well, this was the first time he's ever shot a rifle from the standing in his life, and probably only his 4th time shooting a centerfire rifle period.

My man printed a 1.1 MOA 5 shot group from standing. Why haven't I thought of this before now??!! It makes so much sense. He doesn't need to manipulate a bag with his tiny paws when there is no rear bag.

I was pretty damn impressed that a 7 year old, who has never shot standing, printed a group smaller than a lot of adults can't do. Go to your nearest hunting club the opening weekend of rifle season, and show me how many of the men at deer camp can shoot that group standing/supported.

I didn't give him enough credit on my initial group analysis. Thought it was 2-2.5" but it was about half of that. I didnt count the 2 prone shots because he didn't have full control of what was going on with the rifle. This new found success has gotten him even more boosted to shoot more.

GET YOUR KIDS OUT AND SHOOT!

What brand was the markers you talked about in your podcast that you are marking brass with now? I remember you mentioned that it didn’t come off as easy when tumbled.
Thanks,
Dave

I’m not sure if these are the ones he was talking about. But this is what me and a lot of others use. I can dry tumble without remarking. Depending on what lube you use anyhow.

Listening now.

A couple of thoughts. If you're going to do adds see if you can have fun with them. Do them live each time. One of my favorite podcasts is No Dumb Questions. Every episode they do they do the ad read live and have fun with them. Pick a random episode and listen. You will never hear that exact ad again.

I would look into Utreon. Sorta a combo of patreon/youtube. Look up what Forgotten Weapons and C&rsenal has said about them.

You should try and get Chris Roberts on from CR2. Very knowledgeable dude and a good follow.
Is CR2 another podcast? I pretty much listen to all of the shooting ones at this point.

Also, glad there's another episode, the shooting podcasts have been slim lately. Thank you!

If you’re going to do ads, you absolutely have to do them like Tim Dillon.

Not sure what you had in mind for pricing, but I would be down to sponsor giveaways at the very least....shoot me a message.

I heard your concerns about only wanting to have non-firearms / long-range sponsors, but I think that will be harder and less impactful for you and the advertisers. I think that anyone that listens to your content will understand that you're not a shill or sellout; you can advertise a sponsorship quickly without offering an endorsement or fluffing them up too much.
