Finally got a first place finish at our last local SPR/DMR match, have two other second place finishes at those matches, and a top 10 at a larger regional event with this setup.

With handloads it’ll do 1/2-5/8” five shot groups. I have defaulted to 77gr reman ammo and it’ll shoot 3/4” consistently with it.

Only thing I might change is swap to the AEM5.

600 yards and in this setup shines. Past that things start to get dicey.

Is that an UBR stock with the storage plates removed? Who's cheek pad are you using?

Correct, UBR with storage compartment removed. I went to Michaels and got some 1/8" thick foam padding and glued it to the stock with E6000. Did the same with the ATX but used 1/16" foam

Alright, I've seen people mention SPR/DMR matches here on the hide, but have no idea when or where they take place. Are there any in the Utah area?

To the OP, here is a picture of my mk12 grendel with a delta PRI forend:

Still need to get a proper brake and suppressor combo going for this gun. I wish Otter Creek Labs would get their head out of their butts and make a .30 can. I wouldn't complain if they just did steel instead of titanium either. I like a good forward balance as it is. In the mean time, I plan to run my Maverick on this once it's out of jail.

EDIT: I've since put the AEMB in 6.5mm threaded to 1/2x28 on it:

That a USO 3.2-17 on there? Been a while since I’ve seen one on a gasser 👍

Yeah, FDN 17X JVCR. Love the reticle. I scored a 50% cert and it was only good for the 17X, and while I would have preferred a 10X or FX10 for future use with a clip on, but I think the 17x ought to leave enough room. We'll see eventually.

No idea about Utah but there are 3 ranges around my area in Alabama that offer them, not to mention the Quantified Performance matches.

We are looking at starting some matches through the shop I work at in SW Montana. Course of fire is written and proofed, waiting for hunting season to end so we can run a small match to work the kinks out. Plan is to run monthly matches starting late winter/early spring next year.

5.56, also putting together a 20” 6mm arc in this configuration. Should be pretty awesome.

Love the SASS way paint job on there. (y) How do you like the Athlon 2-12? That is the scope I have on my SPR right now and it has really impressed me for the price. Going to look at the new March 1.5-15x42 FFP that's just been announced though and hope it's even better.

thank you sir, about the scope, I absolutely love it. It’s ratios are extremely well planned out by Athlon. I get crystal clear lowest and highest mag. I would highly recommend. It’s like 700$ on the website. I found it on Amazon for 545 then it let my click the little check box for 100$ off. Payed 445 for it! And yes it is real haha

I also think it rates the SASS job since it does a a KAC rail on it🤣

I was playing around upstairs and weighed the above rifle at 11 lbs 4.5 oz as you see it here.

Basic specs:
Vltor upper with BCM BCG and KMR rail, WOA 18" SPR barrel, PRI muzzle brake.
Aero Precision Lower, Geissele SSA-E, Magpul K2 XL grip, BCM Intermediate RE, BCM stock
NF ATACR 4-16, NF 1.44" mount, MI offset iron sights.

It will shoot 1 MOA with IMI 77gr and it's decent enough with 55 gr ball that I'll push it out to a little under 500 with it, which saves me on my the IMI ammo.
