i have this old can and the index pin that the piston locks onto so it won't rotate broke off. i know AAC is back up but they wont work on the older stuff from what i can tell. they dont answer VM's or emails. normally rotation wouldnt bother my but this particular can is very POI sensitive and needs to be in one spot.

so has anyone broke one these and found a fix anywhere? thanks in advance.

sweet thanks! never heard of them.

i've been out of the suppressor loop for years. so many new and innovative designs now days it makes me want something newer but i'm getting old and my son has no interest in transferring anything down the road.

Just have Ecco do a new mounting solution for you

Nick at ECCO put a new shielded stainless baffle stack in my Evo9 a while back. It hardly gained any weight and still sounds great. But it is much easier to clean now.

i emailed them and they mentioned that. as long as it doesnt add too much extra length, i’m down with that.

this particular EVO-9 is the shorter CQC model and i love it for its shorter length.

Ecco machine just did my AAC can to an omega pattern threading. Lots of aftermarket parts for it now.

Old attachment system broke 3 times.

Ecco has a long waiting list. Think I waited almost 7 months. But once I sent it in I had it back in less than 30 days.

Great company.

my other full size EVO broke the locking pin too and back then AAC was still running and fixed it but the guy acted all surprised that it broke, like i tried to.

when all you have is that little nub to prevent rotation its no wonder it breaks when tightening the can to the barrel.

looking forward to getting this fixed.

Just got 2 cans back from Ecco. Very nice work and the whole process was great. I'd have em do what they did on one of mine and put a bravo thread on the back so you can run whatever mount you want to. They also took a Ti form 1 can I had that was "modular" and put a new baffle stack of their own on it. Tubeless and it's nice! Excellent work and I think from the time I sent it until I got it back was like 2 weeks total. Definitely who I'd email.

(PS: email is the way to go to get initial info but even that isn't fool proof, probably because of the amount of volume they get)

The best thing to do is email jerrica and tell her you want to send them a can to work on and get her to send you the instructions. Then write in detail what you want done and Nick will then call you and go over it if there's any questions. Nick is a cool guy and was very easy to deal with, and he is actually in the shop so he knows exactly what he's talking about.

nick is the one that responded by email friday. this was his recommendation:

“We can upgrade your Evo to a booster that uses SilencerCO/Rugged pattern pistons and 1.125-28 Alpha threaded mounts & adapters.”

guessing that will screw into the back of the evo and replace the aac cap and piston? i didnt email back until yesterday.

this is the evo9-cqc can and about an inch shorted than the evo9 so i hope it doesnt add to much length. i love this little one. it is louder than the big brother but not by much.

thanks for all the info guys.
