Anerican Rifle Company Black Friday sale

Yeah, last year's sale was crazy, every action, every rifle, xylo.. not as extensive this year but great prices still.
Youre forgetting all of those who then bitched forever because it took a few months to fulfill it all once arc sold out of what they geared up for and were expecting and continued to offer the sale price for

Nope, didn't forget. That sale last year was really quite astonishing, this one seems a little more balanced for them. :)

Was hoping for an Archimedes my self, which begs the question, is the Arch worth the money over the Nuc for this sale?

$1250 for a barreled action makes me want to buy one on principle alone. If I'd had foresight, I could have sold my barreled action, bought this one, and pocketed the difference ;-). Instead, I suppose I'll settle from some rings.

Honestly, with the nucleus getting the integral lug, I just don't see how it's not the best value out there. The archimedes has the lever to increase extraction, but not sure I've ever needed that. The nuc has a bayonet type firing pin assembly so it's easy to disassemble. You are going to need 2-3 tools to get the arch bolt apart.

If someone was about to buy an Origin, does this or should this change things for a 6 creed hunting rifle.

I would have bought a long action mag bolt face but looks like none are on sale. No biggie, I'll just have to put it off a little longer. Even at normal pricing I don't think the Arch can be beat, except for bolt take down, haha.

I've been waiting all year to snag a mausingfield on sale. Bummed out.
Same here…. Was gonna snag 2 short actions…. Oh well….I’ll order them later when my stocks get closer to being delivered.

I’ve got both and it really comes down to preference, they are that close. I prefer a lighter bolt lift which the Origin wins on even with the 16lb striker spring (the lightest) in my Nuke.

Thanks. Bolt lift is probably priority. I don’t really care about CRF which they both have anyway. The bolt face swapping is a plus but I probably won’t use it on either. I do prefer the nitride finish. Really just looking for a smooth cycling action for a hunting rifle. Thanks again.

I have both. The Origin is 1/2 lb lighter on the bolt lift (and I have 16# springs in my Nukes) but the Nuke chambers and closes almost like they are doing it themselves. At $800 I would take a Nuke all day long...

$800 for a Nuke is a steal...come and get 'em boys!!! Just be sure to request the 16lb spring...
Im really thinking about jumping on the Nuke action maybe even the barreled action deal in 6.5 creed. Pardon my ignorance but why is 16lb spring the way to go? What is the action like without it? Thanks

Heavier bolt lift. Comes with a 25 lb spring (I think) unless you ask for the 16lb. I also put a LRI extended bolt knob on mine which helped with bolt lift but its almost too long. Kinda feels like it wants to bind running the bolt forward.

I suggest the 19lb spring. They're cheap enough a guy might as well get the 16 while you're at it. If the 16lb spring works and you don't have light primer strikes, all the better. I had one that had like a half percent failure rate so I just do 19 from the get go and it's still light enough on bolt lift, but they've been 100% in all my actions.

The 25lb spring is worth replacing for bolt lift. It's almost obnoxious.

As I recall the V1 Nuke had a 16# firing pin spring and some people complained about light strikes. They went to a 19# and then 25# to eliminate it for good. I personally have 2 Nukes with 16# and have -0- failures over a bunch of rounds with standard CCI primers. You owe it to yourself to at least order a 16# on the side and try it out....it makes a yuge difference in the bolt lift.

I’ve got the 19# in both a Nuke & M7 Mausingfield. Bolt lift is fine for me & never had a light strike on cci #41 or Wolf AR primers.

I’ve had to use it once on a tight chambered Carbon 6 barrel, the load was on the warm side in a Proof barrel but when I shot it in that barrel I had to smack the bolt up and then put the stock on my chest and put quite a bit off force into the bolt handle. Threw the case probably 20 ft when it finally let go. If it hadn’t been in the nuke I would have definitely had a much bigger issue.

I run the 25# in my M7 while hunting as I did have one or two light strikes when it was below freezing out. It was only a couple out of probably 2000 rounds but I only shoot at one or two deer a year and don’t want to push my luck.

If I’m just target shooting and it’s above freezing I run the 19 pound as the bolt lift is much better.

depends on what you wanna do for barrels

Zermatt has proof in it's corner with cheap AF prefits

but ARC actions, especially the MF are tits

I’m surprised more smith’s aren’t offering shouldered prefits for ARC’s. All 3 actions take same headspace short or long action & all Nuke & Archimedes bolts are interchangeable.

I pulled my Gay Tiger barrel off my MF & put it on a Archimedes. Head spaced the same.

agreed

especially proof

ARC and Proof would both likely have pretty good sales increases i'd imagine

can someone educate me on how this works? This says origin to TL3. How does ARC fit in?

If you look at the TL-3 short action print, it's .790 tennon length with .135 GO gauge exposure.

If you set up an ARC tennon for .135 GO gauge exposure, it's .690" long. .100" shorter. If you sandwich the .100" ring between the receiver and barrel shoulder your head space lines up in the ARC action with a TL-3 SA barrel.

I was hoping fir Archimedes action on sale.

Anyone know what brand of barrels are used? criterion ?

Anyone buying the embrace mount? It still shows regular price in cart.

Someone else said it worked for them from the Chrome browser. I use Firefox & it doesn't work.

log in & put what you want in your cart. Then email them. They will send you an invoice with the corrected amount.

They'll get you sorted quickly. I picked up an M brace and a Nuk.

I'm using chrome but on my Android phone.
Will send them an email if needed. I'm sure it's a busy holiday season for them.
