A local auction company has a non-running 1985 Honda VF700F Interceptor (what the second above was based off of). Looks complete except for the seat and some plastics. I really like the exposed frame/tank shape. Auction ends in a few days, and I’m tempted to go check it out for as cheap as it’s currently bid. I have a buddy who owns a CNC/plasma cutter. Would be a fun project, and a neat bike to hand off to my son when he’s old enough.

View attachment 8004440Just yesterday, I was on a divided road with an 8’ wide two lane bike path paralleling it. Cyclist is in the road instead, admittedly on the right side. I’ve got traffic next to me so cannot move over, so I pass him without slowing down. I did move left and hugged the line to give him way more than the legal 3’ clearance between us.

I get past him and see him fling a finger at me in my rear mirror. I laughed. Did he expect me to slow down to his speed? Respect his ‘right’ to use the Highway? 🤣🤣

Yes, I realize that he is a ‘serious’ cyclist and doesn’t deign to share with the occasional recreational rider…<sarcasm>
you really couldn't slow down and find some room? ANY room?! HAD to pass the guy right then and there?! ...and it's somehow his fault you can't drive?!

It isn't the recreational cyclists on the MUTs you need to watch for, it's the joggers, walkers, kids, dogs, and other braindead zombies. Not to mention that the MUTs usually dump you out on roads at about the worst spots possible.

It's safer to ride with the cars. They're *usually* predictable.

I see these kinds of posts lots. Usually from people that don't have a clue what they're talking about. I suggest you try riding a bike on said MUT. Even better, learn to ride a bike and experience the fun too

...and yes, I've been riding for more years than I've been shooting.

So by your very own words, you acknowledge that you don't actually like having to share a road with slow moving unpredictable folks that clog things up and ruin your nice glorious ride while you fantasize about being whatever dope head you idolise...

Now you know how cars feel having to deal with your stupid asses on the roads.

Rude, arrogant, selfish, snobby bike riders deserve to have to be forced to share the road with others just as selfish, uncaring and pig headed as them, until they learn a little bit of common courtesy and stop blocking everybody with their stupid B.S. that they do for fun.

I drive too. It's not a difficult thing to look past the hood of your vehicle and plan ahead. Try it you'll see how easy it is to manage traffic.

All one needs to do is keep the Golden Rule in mind: do unto others as you'd have them do unto you in case you've forgotten.

lol, I knew I would strike a nerve with someone. 🤣🤣🤣

I did give the moron some room. I suppose I should have slowed to 15 mph and held up all traffic, probably causing an accident, instead of giving him ample clearance as I passed. Fuck him and his arrogance. Love ya’ babe! 😘😘🤣

I did. I gave him ample clearance as passed. Speaking of doing unto others, I was using the lane provided for me to travel upon. He was using my lane instead of the lane provided specifically for him and his ilk. He chose not to use it.

Like I said. Fuck him. 🤣😎

Oh yeah. I actually do cycle, but find it much less stressful to use the more than ample 8 foot fucking wide lane provided for this exact purpose. Was that you?!? 😘

Missed the part about the bike lane paralleling road? I've always wondered if biker shorts constrict a self-awareness gland somewhere. I live on a mountain that has a steep, twisting, no- shouldered road going up to the top. Bikers love going up it at negative 2 mph for the "challenge". They always act annoyed when they aren't given 20 feet of room when traffic finally allows passing. If you can't do the speed limit you aren't traffic, you're an obstruction. There's a reason I don't jog on public roads. I don't want people to think of me what I think of those bikers.

The proper timing of Jake brakes and train airhorn is priceless😆😂🤣

One of my favorite memories involves an entire pack of very un-self aware self absorbed spandex wearing ass hats, my old 7.3 powerstroke equipped with an edge tuner. It had a low boost fuel adjustment that would absolutely lay down an eye watering fog. State highways are for motor vehicles. Don't block the entire lane then give guy in the truck the finger because he doesn't want to go 5 f'ing miles per hour.
Clip in pedals really suck when you can't see or breath🤣🤣.

Bike lane provided and you want to ride in the car lane...fuck you and you deserve to get run over.
