thats a good question . i dont know if eric did any testing as in comparing with any test equipment to show how much difference there is. i am sure some one will . . youtube will likely have some thing before to long. mine will be here in a few days ,not that i can do any quality control testing

The NextGen is supposed to be better at reducing recoil and can be adjusted by hand, instead of a allen wrench.

I’ll stick with a suppressor… 👍🏼
I love suppressors and have several. I have shot several PRS matches with them, but the problem is they on average only reduce recoil by 21% in my testing and my muzzle brakes are over 60%. So spotting misses and making adjustments is just easier with a muzzle brake.

From EC .....We have. Our testing is free recoil shooting the rifle with the reticle centered on target and capture target cam of reticle jump.

Ok, so I ran a test with my EC Tuner Brake Next Gen 6mm on my 6GT. I was testing how much recoil reduction it had compared to my suppressor, Precision Armament Hyper Tap and bare muzzle. I ran the test with my MPA 6GT bolt gun on sled.

Recoil Results
No Brake - 16.5 inches
Suppressor - 13 inches (22% Reduction)
EC Tuner Next Gen 6mm - 8 inches (52% Reduction)
PA Hypertap - 6.5 inches (61% Reduction)

I did not get a chance to do a tune test, but hope to do that in the next couple weeks.

Could you post a video of this test & how you did it? I'm curious & would like to replicate it w/ my rifle & devices etc

Sorry I don't have a video of this test, it was starting to rain. But I added a video of a test I did awhile back. It is easy to replicate, because it isn't the most high tech test method! I took a gun vice and added wheels to the bottom of it. I clamped my rifle in it is so it couldn't move, then I got smooth board and placed the gun vice on it. I marked the starting position and fired the rifle 3 times with each muzzle device. I would measure the distance traveled and average the three numbers. With my rifle and a roughly 8oz trigger, I would use a pen and just touch the trigger setting off the round. This way I was not influencing the numbers by pulling the trigger. Although as long as they were all influenced the same, it wouldn't matter.

So I did my tuner testing on my match load. My starting point with my Ultradyne Muzzle Brake was .37in group. I removed it put the EC Tuner Next Gen on and started at Zero. I went up by two until I came back to zero. So 2,4,6,8 and then 0 again which shot the same size group as the original zero group. At setting 2 on the not most steady of benches at my indoor 100yd range I shot a .218 group, at 4 it was .26. Setting 8 was the worst group at .48. I then came back to setting 2 and dropped a .13 inch group....I left it there! I then zero'd my turrets and took one final shot to confirm zero. I am very happy with the way this thing took my .37 inch group and brought it down to a .13 - .21 inch groups!!

Hard to say a group size with two rounds. I know two rounds are what you shoot to adjust the settings but you need to confirm with multiple groups of 3-5 rounds per. 2 shots is just the starting point

Two rounds is what EC suggested, but yes I agree with you. But I actual did a 5 round group on setting 2. I did 2 rounds, then tested the other settings and came back to setting 2 for two more rounds, then a final shot at setting 2 and my worst spread was .21. So I feel pretty good with it.
