    Hey guys,
Have a question that, while not the end of the world by any stretch, has me a bit baffled and I'm trying to sort out. So.... Both actions have the same barrel profile and length (Just to be clear)
Vudoo #1 is a 20" MTU (Bartline) in a Grayboe Renegade torqued to 45 in/lbs. Has a 40 MOA rail and ARC rings holding a Nightforce ATAC-R 7-35x56. Out of the box it had 35 Mils of dial and when zeroed at 50 yards it comes up 27. Have around 2500 rounds on this one.

Vudoo # is a 20" MTU (Ace) and is in a MPA BA comp torqued to unknown in/lbs (Manual says torque to 65 in/lbs. Haven't had it out of the chassis yet). Has a 20 MOA Sphur sitting on a 30 MOA rail holding a ZCO ZC527. Out of the box it had 36 Mils of dial and when zeroed at 50 yards it comes up 28.7. Has 50 rounds through it.

Seems like I should have more on the ZCO but I maybe I'm over thinking it. Just seems like an extra 10 MOA of cant and more travel from factory should get me a liitle more. Worst case I get a 40 MOA rail for 60 total. What say y'all?

Overthinking it. Hard to predict exactly what the total up is going to be out of the box when mounted on a rifle. Slight variations. If you really care to max out everything, then sure you can get another 10moa cant. I think 28.7 mils is enough to not worry. I think I also have 28.7 mils on my Vudoo with 30 moa rail and 20 moa spuhr, 1.5" rings. (I'll check in a bit).

you are 8 mils to the bottom on the first gun, and 7.3 on the second gun. you will need more cant to get you closer to the bottom of your adjustment.

I have Burris XTR Signature rings on my guns. https://www.burrisoptics.com/mounting-systems/rings/xtr-signature-rings they have from 0 moa to 40 moa in the rings inserts. you can add moa or remove moa if needed, if your base has too cant.

I use a 20 to 30 moa base, then use the inserts to get me a mil or two to the bottom. I have Vortex Strike Eagle with 31 mils. I can dial to 500 yds. The inserts protect your scope from ring marks also. They are the only rings I use.

I have a 40MOA rail on my Vudoo Three 60, with an Athlon Cronus BTR Gen2 (4.5-29x56 APRS6) on top. I wish Vudoo made a 50MOA rail. That scope is supposed to have 32 MIL of elevation travel; I have my zero set at 50 yards with the zero stop set there too...I still have 7.6 MIL under the zero stop...and have to dial UP for anything closer then 50 yards... 1.95" scope over bore height. I'm in agreement that you're overthinking it.

King of .28 Mile...that sounds fun, you should be able to dial to that as is...I'd have to use a little hold over with mine, I can only dial to about 475 yards.

I don't think you are over thinking it, I run 70 moa in cant on both a Vudoo and a Rim X. 40moa in the rails, 30 moa M Brace mounts. I have very little under with a 50 yard zero, and can dial to 600 on hot days at 4700 ft ASL with Z comps.
I keep reading about optical center of scopes, I have no issues at 50 yards when scope is zeroed.

A 50MOA rail would be ideal and it baffles me as to why Vudoo doesn't make one. I stumbled across KO.28M by accident and it looks like a blast. 12 stage PRS match and the ELR event all rolled into one!

I use these rings for my f-class rifle. I set the 100 zero at 5 +/- off the bottom by whatever combination is needed. Then i get the full range out of the scope. Worth every penny. I put a 34mm set on my 5-25 with 110 moa. I set it 10 moa off the bottom. I needed 68 moa to go a mile. I had plenty left over. And i hit the mile plate twice. I don’t think i could have done that with hold offs.

Oh and doing this i get a free return to zero. I just dial down till it stops and then come back up to 0. Bingo

This is for my 6x47L. Same principle applies to 22lr long distance

The only thing about a 50 MOA rail, what do you if it is too much? Then you are back to the Burris rings, to take some out.
