I have or rather had colon cancer with BRAF 600, 700, and mismatched repair genes. What's that you might wonder? In short, the prognosis was very poor. At one time I was looking into hospice care and making end of life decisions. I liqudated almost all of my firearms, optics, etc. Some of them were sold on here. I either gave away (to relatives) or sold about 40 guns and optics.

I had some colostomy problems and a blocked bowel so I went back under the knife. A very skilled surgeon removed the cancer and left me with a bladder the size of a walnut shell (I piss alot). I also have some spleen and liver problems that I am pretty sure I can beat. The good news is I am cancer free.

So, I have picked up a few pistols beginning with a Wilson Combat EDC and a Staccato C DPO. I don't have a rifle legal to hunt big game with so yesterday I bought a Springfield Waypoint in 6.5 PRC as a cross over big game hunting and long range coyote gun. I am one of the "poors" by hide standards, but I cashed in a few bucks of retirement funds to buy the Wilson and Staccato (bucket list guns). I am single and irresponsible so I have been spendin money like a drunken sailor. In a way it chaps my behind to have to buy a scope and rings for my Waypoint, but I can probably get a decent price on something like a Luepy VX-5 HD on sale for black Friday.

I am just happy to be alive. BTW, any of you know how to call coyotes when you have to pee every 30-45 minutes?

Catheter and tape the bag to your leg or just run the tube out of your pants and tape it to the back of your boot. It's what the desert/Baja motorcycle guys typically do so they never need to stop...

My dad's cancer scare sure changed his "I'll do this someday" into more "I'm planning things". Luckily he was eligible for retirement so he retired and started a part time job, has worked less and less and played more and more.

Ankeny, stay strong man. Four years ago I had to have surgery for a 90% blocked carotid that would have stroked me out in a year or so (damn cigarettes). Any how I'm good now and you will be too.
Hey, getting old sucks sometimes but it beats the alternative.

That’s about the perfect amount of time to sit on any one stand. When it’s time to pee, it’s time to move to next stand… 👍

Good luck on the coyotes!

On killing coyotes thing pee when you get out of the truck. Where I’m located and hunt if they haven’t came within 15 minutes I’m moving. Life’s to short to wait on coyote.

I see them coming in later around here once everyone starts calling them after first deer season. Always pick a location on a slight hill, kneel, pee down hill.

@Ankeny

1: prayers for you man. Cancer sucks.

2: look into a Texas cath or a condom cath. Not as invasive like a foley and no real pain like shoving a tube in your pecker.
Easy with a leg bag.

Pretty sure they are called a TX Cath cause all Texans have too small a pecker for a normal cath.
Was just there.
The offsets on the lifted trucks is proof enough. 🤣

Dig a hole to piss in and go prone.
Only one problem with going prone. I think the shit in my colosotmy bag would shoot out like a semi-truck running over a tube of tooth paste.
