Do not make the mistake that the Dems are the only ones involved. Everything that is coming out of twitter was revealed two years ago at mike lindell’s voting symposium. Dr. Shiva spoke about it in detail back then. He spoke of government’s direct portals with social media among other things. Zero media coverage even from “right wing” propagandists. The republicans don’t seem to care at all and neither does LEO. This should tell you everything.

The only path forward is mass disobedience concerning anything gov, city, state, local. Enough people have to believe this to be true. Once the masses stop obeying their laws, rules, regulations, taxes, courts, and police that control us and defend each other from pushback, the system crumbles and power goes back to the people. They can do whatever they want legally as long as they do so in their private capacity. When they become agents of the state and infringe on our constitutional rights, then there’s a problem.

This has changed the course of American History. Between this type of suppression of free speech and the other fraud that occurred during the 2020 election. The outright Treason that has been committed in this country to gain power is mind-blowing. Horrible that nothing will be done because the DOJ and FBI are corrupt at the highest levels. I can't believe the rank and file agents don't just walk out just to maintain some semblance of honor and integrity. Then you have the rank and file Democrats who have to know the truth but don't care as long as their side wins. Just sickening the country is lost. The rank and file know what we do and yet continue to hold guns that empower this treasonous and murderous gov’t. Men that go into law enforcement will do anything for a paycheck my man. The government regulates plenty of behaviour by companies and let's drop the B.S. "private" label, these are huge multinational, publicly traded, corporations. Just because you claim "private company" you can't get away with a whole long list of unacceptable actions.
Even more so when a handful of corporations have a near total monopoly on communications.
That's where you need to pick up the fight and stop them from silencing you, using the power of the law and the same playbook as the left wing side used so effectively for their battles.

The same regulations we put on the old phone companies and mail carriers and highway owners.
They are common carriers and may not restrict or deny access to those who are not violating federal law or state law.

Imagine if the phone company could decide you couldn't call folks the phone company CEO didn't like the politics of?
Imagine if the mail refused to take your letters or deliver them because of your political party?
Imagine if the highways blocked you from driving if they didn't like one of the places you were going to go?

Just as the phone and mail and roads were important national backbones back years ago and could not be left solely to the whims of insane rich folks, so to in this time, the internet, electronic communications, software to run the computers that drive things and online platforms that are the modern town squares also need to be regulated to be common carriers and not left solely to the whims of insane rich folks.

The representatives the people "elect" make the laws about what is legal actions and legal speech and the court systems make their rulings and then the corporations must obey them and may not limit legal speech or refuse services because of their own bias, hatreds or dogmas.

Before I answer, think carefully about this statement:
"The chains you forge for others are the chains that will be used to bind you."

It's not just hypothetical, we are seeing it in real life every day and it has become a critical fight for survival because the "good folks" built so many chains.

Now let's say for some reason Sniper's Hide was to become big enough and powerful enough that they would fall under the category of "common carrier" as in SH bought up all the competition, dominated the forum industry etc.

So let's say that because of that common carrier rules applied and legal, lawful, content could not be prohibited as long as they followed the standard rules that applied equally to everyone and were openly listed and uniformly applied etc.

You don't like left wing folks saying stuff you disagree with? No problem, nobody says you have to listen.
Quick click of the ignore button and you never see that person's posts again.
A forum software update could let you block posts with keywords you don't like, or block posters that people, or your friends etc gave the thumbs down to a few too many times.
A quick filter option could let you block from your view categories of things you don't like seeing.
But it would be YOUR CHOICE of what YOU wish to see, and you would not be restricting anyone's freedom of speech.
Just as they would be free to do the same to you.

It would be your personal choice of what to listen to and yes you'd have to be a bit of a grown up and not whine if you came across something you hated, rather click, it disappears from your view and you go on enjoying life. Others may want to have fun reading what they hate and engaging in debate with those posting it.

Now if the person crossed the line and engaged in illegal actions such as various things the courts have ruled are not protected by free speech, then they are gone and depending on the offense, the law can follow up on it if it was serious enough to warrant charges.

Even now on SH it's crazy easy to not see things that you don't like.

The dirty secret is most people don't want to simply not see what they don't like, they want to see it and then complain and try to make everybody have to do what they think is right.

That's pretty much the story of this country, almost nobody actually believes in real freedom, just about everybody believes in freedom for what they like to do and believe and then wants restrictions and government repression on things they don't like. The few times some folks here on SH didn't believe me, it was pretty quick & easy to prove their own bias to them.

It's the same with freedom of religion in this country, almost nobody ever actually in the history of this country was totally happy with the idea of full freedom of religion, but everybody was united in fear that somebody else's religion would get the upper hand and make their religion or sect illegal and so that fear got everyone on board with agreeing to the patchwork of social contract we think of as freedom of religion.

Right now it’s going to be pretty hard for any social media site to reach common carrier status. There are plenty of other choices.

There are no sides in politics. They have different uniforms but they are all the same. They are all in on it. Those that lose elections are etiher uncontrollable or aren't kicking enough upstairs. Politicians are all part of an orginized crime outfit. Same hierarchy. The media outlets and social media / big tech are all in the tank for government. We are just pawns that keep the illusion going and provide the means to producing goods for the elites. It won't be long and we'll become liabilities.

The Intercept already leaked this before the Nov election. It wasn't just Twitter, it was all of them including Microsoft, but most heavily was Facebook in suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story.

There is insurmountable proof the media, big tech, and several three letter agencies picked sides, and undermined a presidential election. This is the most damaging single event possibly in the history of our electoral process. It's going to sink in, very very deep over the coming weeks.

Despite what everybody will tell you, pretty much everybody in the country understands the 2020 election was frauded, except for a very few, extra blind and stupid people.

However at least half the country is perfectly happy with it because it was time to do anything it took to stop orange man bad.
Both political parties were fully in on it.
All the news media and big tech and public discourse platforms and services were also fully all in on it.
The entire judicial system top to bottom is corrupt, compromised, cowards, or complicit.
The entire federal government is pretty much packed top to bottom with Democrat party loyalists and those willing to shut up and do as they are told.
The upper officer ranks of the military are almost fully taken over by those who share the Democrat hard left agenda.

People have been screaming the truth for 2 years and most of the country doesn't care.
Just like how Snowden and Assange both (despite not being all that great humans on a personal level), and even that Manning, essentially lost everything they had when trying to out the truth of how our government was doing evil all around the world as well as spying and doing evil to the citizens.

It’s not bigger here because it is old news. We have been living through the data and sorting it out since what, 2016 when we were discussing Bernie bitching about Hillary screwing him over. It’s the same thing over and over with different players in the headlines but the same song. Quite frankly, at least for me it has become boring and tiresome because the vast majority don’t care because they are satisfied with life, even as it exists in a post-Covid, inflationary world.

Yes, and I get that. And yes, we have all known for years, but we are in our own little bubble, especially if you live in a more liberal area, or have low information friends and family, basically most of America.

Unfortunately I think you are correct. Much of Elon’s top line revenue comes from the good will and pleasure of the government- I.e., cage codes and the lack of “extra” oversight via legislation, etc. I thought the whole time that Biden’s statement about watching Twitter closely was a message to all who were listening. I strongly suspect that this has mediated what will be produced by Elon via Twitter.
