Finding a TL rated safe that size is going to be difficult and if you do, it will be very heavy, very expensive, and have limited room on the inside. Everyone always claims “real safe” but TL rated safes are just too small. If you have a decent size firearm collection, along with other stuff you put in them, you will need several. What do TL- 15 or TL-30 Ratings Certify?​

A TL-15 or TL-30 safe primarily refers to the time which the safe can withstand sophisticated criminal attack. The TL-15 rating means it is tested to withstand at least 15 minutes intense attack, and the TL-30 refers to at least 30 minutes of attack. A detailed inspection of the testing requirements reveal how impressive these safes much be. While a safe may be rated for 15 minutes of attack, this actually translates to a longer attack were it to be done by an actual burglar. This is because test time is only being counted when a tool attacking a safe, commonly referred to as “when the tool comes off the safe the clock stops”. The time spent thinking, switching tools, or any other work disruption is not counted.

MINIMUM 1-INCH STEEL​

In addition to the burglary testing, these certified safes must also be composed of robust amounts of steel, starting at at 1″ thickness in the steel door.
A minimum tensile strength of 50,000 PSI is required.

AMSEC makes a couple in the bracket you seek. There is plenty of room in either of these for a human-sized gun collection.

I saw an outfit that would make you one to your specs and it wasn't just insainly prices either. Had a stainless liner option (thick stainless to thwart cutting) ect... can't remember the name of the outfit and I ended up buying one already made.

Just FYI, it's far more likely that it will be more helpful to you as a fire protector than a safe by the numbers so keep that in mind.

I’d just buy another BFHD, they’re amazing safes and just barely fall short of TL15 rating.

A perfect example of my point. A CFX703620 will cost you 20k, it weighs 4,500 pounds so you are very limited in where it can go. The safe only provides 29 cubic feet of storage, that’s very small. Fine for jewelry and cash and a pistol or two but if you have a number of rifles and other routine stuff you need to secure, it’s not going to work. I have two 65s, a 49, and a 33. I have a number of rifles that won’t even fit in a 33 let alone being stuck with only 29 cubic feet of space.

For reference, below is a picture off of AMSEC's site of a safe with 26cuft of space. The safe I specified above would be 10% bigger. The OP can decide if it meets his needs, but it holds more than "jewelry and cash and a pistol or two" by a goddamn sight. Also, the OP stated he wanted a heavy-ass safe based on the TL15/TL30 question, so I'll assume he's thought through where to put it.

Liberty hasn’t had anything close to a “real” safe in a long time (even then they weren’t very close). Their National Security line used to have more security, but it too has been neutered.

He‘s looking at TL-15/30 safes. Liberty looks nice, but compared to a TL-15, it’s like taking a Porsche 911 shopper to Tractor Supply to look at the go-carts.

Used, Chatwood-Milner, Chubb...etc.

Check out Sturdy Safes. They might be able to get you into something.

You want a box that holds shit that you'll have to argue about with your insurance company, or you want something that can't be breached? Buy a Brown and be done with it.

Be careful with lackasafe.

If you want a real safe, then buy a used commercial/industrial safe. It won’t be uniquely outfitted for guns, but they are legit TL or TRTL rated if you want to get loco. A little elbow grease will go a long way.

Otherwise you’ll pay a premium for a new safe that is TL rated and manufactured for guns.

It’s a steel box at the end of the day and the lock can be changed to suit your needs. That’s what I’d do if I was in the market, but I’d prefer protection over beauty and money over marketing.

Anything can be breached. The most reasonable alternative is insurance.

Please read my original response in post #5.

To sum up, I provided some examples of TL-30X6 safes for the OP in the original response (#5). Someone then decided to debate their size, so I grabbed a pic of a RSC2 to show what 26cuft looked like. AMSEC's site doesn't have an internal pic of their TL safes with 29cuft for some reason.

I meant to clarify this by stating "for reference", but perhaps this wasn't sufficiently clear.
