This is my only good piece of glass.

I've got a rimfire tikka t1x that I want to mount it on... but I would also like to be able to put it on my 18'' ar15 and shoot out to 500-600 yards with it as well...

I've got an Area 419 30 moa mount? on the Tikka T1x..

Does Spuhr make a mount that would work well across both platforms?.. Or am I asking for an apple and an orange at the same time?

You're gonna want a tall mount on a flat top ar15, 1.5" at least. It'll cross over to the t1X with a tall cheek piece.

Figuring I'm just going to keep it dedicated to a bolt gun; I'm looking at 34mm with what height?

Spuhr ISMS ? 20 moa cant or not?

You’ve got 30 MOA in the rail. You will still be able to zero with another 20 MOA in the mount since the vortex Gen 3 has 120+ MOA elevation travel. You’ll want 1.25” or less for the Tikka, since the Area419 rails are fairly tall (they are for the CZ457 anyway).

I'm running a nx8 atop a tikka that's using a a419 20min rail. Rings are 1.125" tall. The barrel is a carbon rem varm. The objective is fairly close to the barrel. 1.25" tall mount would work in this case with a 56mm objective. The gen3 is longer than the nx8 4-32x50 so that gives some more clearance up front. A lot of what affects mount height is the stocks comb height, as well as shooters desired cheek weld. I personally utilize more of a jaw weld and keep the rifle tucked into my neck/collar bone region for recoil management. For this reason, I utilize a high mount, pretty much everything anymore is 1.5"

I’ve mounted the scope in the lowest mount that clears on the bolt gun- it helps that I prefer a low scope mount. Then, I put a 22 moa Badger riser on the AR to mount the same scope and rings- it worked well with low rings.

I have the same scope on order, I plan to try it with this one as well. I think it will work with the slightly higher rings too.

I run a Hawkins 1.5" height Heavy Tactical One Piece Mount with 20 MOA built in for everything. I used to run lower mounts on my bolt guns, but i've found I shoot better without my cheek squished down on the cheekpiece. Level is easy to see, and pic rail allows you to push down on the gun for free recoil off of barricades without having to worry about changing POI from puttting pressure on the scope.
