Is gun violence getting worse . . . or was I unlucky

I am heading towards retirement and am apparently far less dangerous looking than I used to be. I can see it in the eyes of the scumbags when they are prowling the Home Depot looking for a chance to run out the fucking door with a cart of tools or whatever they are fucking stealing. There is no chance I'd step in to stop them and no way I'd even look at a public wife beating with anything more than indifference. If you interfered in the beating and stopped it that crazy cunt would attack you.

So when I hear shots, I look for cover and wait it out. If they are not coming for me or my wife, my gun stays holstered and my head is on a swivel. As long as it does not involve me then it is not my problem. Even Idaho and Montana are becoming questionable these days. Legalized drugs have led to rampant crime. My truck got broken into and my backpack and gun stolen 25 feet from the front of a business I was in and the employees just fucking watched. They didn't get me or call the cops or even yell at the asshole and when I asked why, they said, "we don't get involved". I cancelled my order and ended my business with them forever. I still lost $3,000 worth of gear, gun, cash, checkbook, wind meter, Surefire light and a bracelet made from my Dad's WWII jump wings that I carried since Iraq. Fucking cops never even showed up, my cell number was the case number because they no longer give case numbers to crimes. 0% chance of seeing anything again, it will be sold on Facebook, Ebay, Amazon or Craigslist with ZERO consequences for the thieves.

It’s not just the dems my man. This is the one thing you always fail to acknowledge. I would argue that anyone who votes for either party is to blame considering we have fake as fuck elections and it really doesn’t matter whether a D or R gets in as both are equally despicable and hand selected.

I do agree that those who support the D wing of the unibird are scum compared to those regular folk who are stupid enough to suport the R wing of the unibird.

Its certainly not 1980s New York. Likely kids on christmas break - plinking in the open area and not thinking too much about safety. Since the police didn't seem to find a pile of bodies; I'm guessing it wasn't actually gun violence.

No disagreement there. My congresswoman runs the same bullshit ads year after year that say, "I believe we need to do more for our veterans". She has never done one fucking thing for vets. When I queried her office about my VA claim, they could have cared less. Six years later when it was resolved thru no fault of hers, she sent me a letter saying, "she was glad she could help". Now she runs ads saying, "we need to do more for law enforcement".

Every commie in my area runs for office claiming they will get "Equity" for criminals, whatever the fuck that means. No lefty ever claims to care two shits about the victims of crime. Republicans won most of the prosecutor and judge positions and still cannot get enough criminals in prisons to matter. Cops are fleeing the job in large numbers because it is pointless.

I'd like to see one candidate that gives a shit and acts on it.

I can't speak for your neck of the woods but I can directly correlate the decrease in manning and increase in gang violence in Virginia. The same Democrats use the media to drive gun control citing the increase in crime as reason for gun control instead of criminal control.

I’m not, by far! My bi-weekly “gun violence” trips to the range, training facility or otherwise shooting location will not change.

I’m just more increasingly, unable to stomach the “gun violence” leftist BS by day. How is it different than “knife violence, rape violence, screw driver violence, etc”. Shit is worse than the woke bullshit

yes we need to focus on criminal control. if we would actually put, and keep, the violent offenders in jail i guarantee crime will be reduced.

the more and longer we focus on guns, the more and longer criminals will keep repeating their violence. who in the hell REALLY thinks that if guns are miraculously removed, crime will go away?

A friend of mine is a retired US marshal. He's always told me that there's a saying among law enforcement, "This won't end until somebody goes to jail".
We have so called 'bail reform' here in NY. It's incredible, but nobody goes to jail. You get an appearance ticket. "Now, you come back here on the 28th, OK ?"

I’m sure you can correlate it and I explained how that works in my post. I’ll summarize. Men fail to protect their own communities not out of fear of the street thug, but out of fear of big gov. Less cops with more Vigilantism is what is needed to dwindle the numbers of criminals among us instead of uncle sam putting them through the revolving door of justice being used to terrorize communities to usher in a stronger police state. Don’t think for a second that when people scream for more gov’t (police), they won’t eventually get it in a bad way. Just in time to for e digital currency on their ass.

I always ask people what decisions they trust gov’t to make on their behalf. Most usually say gov’t is either to incompetent, inefficient, and I get the rare gem that says it’s to corrupted. Somehow these same people believe gov’t can “protect” them and their communities better than they could themselves. That’s illogical on it’s face. You know right from wrong. I know right from wrong.
 
Here at my work - we will get a couple of rifle rounds in a row that go zinging overhead every week or so. I'm not really sure why somebody would do that, but there is no telling how well "received" those rounds are at the other end of their travels. I never thought of it as "gun violence". I thought of it as "idiocy" though. Just glad we aren't in the "touchdown" area.

The police are not held to a standard to protect the citizenry only to write reports after the fact. They are a visible deterent in some neighborhoods, those neighborhoods are now less welcoming than they were and controlled by gangs protected by liberals. Government is best compared to a soiled diaper whether you voted for the winner or not.

Not a P2000, it a HK45c but the grip is damn near identical to a P2000.

Yeah the tape colors are to differentiate calibers when I let other people shoot my guns, I don't want to see someone load a .300 Blk into a 5.56 or 6.8.

haha...I almost thought it was a 45c. I always found it interesting the P30 and HK45 were released almost simultaneously and yet the grips are completely different. Which, I guess, since HK primarily builds for LE and MIL contracts, explains the grip difference.

Until there are severe consequences for actions things are never going to change. We need public hangings or firing squad for murder, molesters and anyone who rapes make a steer boy out of them and anyone who steels have an appendage cut off fingers to whole arm depending on what was stolen. Consequences for actions until there is nothing will change.
