Is anyone using a barrel vise like a SAC Bravo in concert with an InLine Fabrication quick change plate? If so, can you share details of your setup?

I'm not sure if one of their existing plates will work or if I'd need a custom one made.

I just drilled two holes in the IF base plate to mount the SAC ARCA base, so I’m not using a quick change plate. Dan may have plates for the vise but this setup is quick and easy for me since I like to keep my vise related components together in a drawer when not in use ... unlike the rest of my equipment that are on quick change plates, which live on a wall dock when not is use.

Order one of their custom plates and let them know you are mounting a SAC barrel vise. Dan will drill it for a minimal cost and include the bolts to mount it to the plate as well. This is what I did.
Winner! Thank you.

I call him and asked if he had a template already as the sac plate wasn’t listed on his site. He already had one so I ordered over the phone.

Good stuff. I placed an order last night.

Thanks all for the great input.

I use their plate with the Viper barrel vise and love it.

The Viper is one of their stock plates. Go on Inline Fabrication website you can see what they have, but call with one you don't see as noted above he has made more than what you see. Great stuff.

I’m an idiot. I just put a large order in today from them, didn’t even think to see if they had one for the viper vice. I planned on using it on a plank with t track. Happy I caught your photo/post

Don't worry, if that's your first order you'll be putting more in soon 😁😁😁

I have a SAC Modular vise on an Inline Precision plate(via a SAC Multi Base plate) and it does all I need it to do. Inline Precision definitely went the extra miles to get it right as it was a custom plate.

Can you explain more on your setup? I'm interested in a similar setup.

I had a quick change plate made for the SAC Multi Base to which I mount the SAC Modular Barrel vise. I use it with my Inline flush mount on my bench. Honestly, I'm not sure what else I can mount to the MultiBase and mounting the vise directly to the quick change plate would be fine.
