Yup.
After awhile it would get boring, and there'd be a few accidental deaths in the flock I'm thinking.
Back in school I was a lifeguard at a state park lake that had a goose problem. They hired a guy to bring his dogs out and chase the geese around the lake and bark at them from the Park Ranger boat. Weeks of this. You may not believe this, but it didn't work.
Where I work they pay a company with a trained border collie to chase away the geese. They fly a few hundred yards, land and the whole thing starts all over again. Job security.
Migratory waterfowl have genetic homing. Ducks and geese migrate to and from the same ponds and lakes, generation after generation. Chasing them off a lake is like chasing BFC off a butter-face.
While I was Michigan, there was a well to do neighborhood built around a lake like so many others. They had a big goose problem even the winter.?goose hunting was totally illegal, so they paid tons of tax dollars to have trappers shoot nets and capture, then kill the excess geese.
Their Excuse/justification was that they were donating the geese to food banks to feed the homeless. That was many years ago and even then I laughed out loud at the absurdity of it all. And the fact that people just nodded their heads and went about their days as if it were all true. Hilarious.
