Tried out my new vacuum sealer Monday. I’ve had two Foodsavers. They were both Crap, and I mean C R A P.
Even though it’s not the one I wanted, (the one I wanted cost twice as much), this new Weston works really well. So far, I’m really pleased with it. I only wish it had a bag dispenser and a cutter.

We have a Potane brand and it has been excellent. Has the bag roll and cutter.

If you are asking about mine it is AWD. The versions with the large sail panels are as I understand 4WD and the 4 wheel part stops after X mph. I was told it is to get you un stuck.

I am fairly impressed with honda's AWD system. I will drive into a field with it from time to time. No covert, but a "ditch". You could put in a covert, but I really don't need it flat there to get stuff in or out, so why spend the money.

Anyhoo......if you go in at an angle a wheel on the corner will come off the ground. You can stand outside and the sec that wheel is off the ground it stops spinning, then the back will do the same thing. Pretty slick. And the brake is not locked on that corner. Needed to put that in there when I read it again.

We have not had a "bad" snow yet to test it in that, but 6-8" are no issue.
My wife’s Pilot is AWD. Last year when we had the big ice/snow event I had to lock both axles on my Jeep to climb it and it wasn’t easy. Her Pilot went right up with the computer controlling things….zero spin and no drama. I was very impressed.

Seen this happen more than once on construction projects. More interesting when they drill into a conduit in which the wire is energized.
When I was in home improvement biz I went to a customer whose hardwood in the kitchen was ruined by a leak in the wall behind the refrigerator. Ended up finding a drywall screw had been driven into the pex when the house was built and took a few years to rust away. The plumber had failed to clip it in the center of the stud.

Been there and done that

Measured the outside and I forgot to take into account the block width when I measured the inside. I drilled a 3/8 masonry bit right through the service entrance that was feeding a 225 amp box. It never slowed down the new bit in a hammer drill.
I was lucky and didn't hit any wires. A real ohh shit moment

Captain Jack), a Modoc leader in the Modoc War.

The band of fewer than 53 warriors was able to hold off the 3,000 U.S. Army troops for several months, defeating them in combat several times.
Captain Jack, and three other warriors after surrender, were executed by the US Army, for the murder of major general Canby.
If you've never been to Lava Beds NM, it is worth the trip. Aside from all the cool caves to explore, Captain Jacks Stronghold is a maze of lava beds, and caves, that enabled a small unit to hold off a superior sized unit indefinitely. He would not have surrendered, and didn't have to but was convinced by a female relative working with the Blue Coats, under threat of the rest of his tribe's safety.

Jimmy Stewart narrates the B58 Hustler

Back when sonic booms we're permitted and cool

We lived at Edwards AFB, when my dad worked onthe X15 project. Their part of hte project was to adapt the wing and add the pylon to hold the X-15, and test it. Once that was accomplished, he transferred over the the B-58 when it was brought on base. Sonic booms all the time. Great time and place to be a kid.
