Im not a fan of Bob and could care less what kinda stuff he does.
The other dude chooses to work for him.

my give a dang ran out.

The dumpster fire keeps my hands warm for a bit.

Not sorry for the visions in your head. 🤣

Its really just a 3 way circle jerk in an ice bath, post “weight loss workout”
Just close to a punchbowl.
Oh God the mental images oh God why!? lol.

I never heard of them till this whole thing. but poaching in my mind is a big deal. kinda sucks they had to be the ones to buy defiance.

Nope. Im a dealer. I had to call all my customers that actions were on order for and tell them that there previously quoted $995 tenacity is now $1595.
I understand that sucks. Like I said earlier in this thread the Tenacity might as well go away no one will buy them at the price of an Impact. I’m guessing they were losing their ass on that action and said we are either going to make money on selling them or not sell them at all.

Yep. That sucked calling everyone. But at the end of the day he owns the company and can do whatever he wants.

On another board, the new guy running things laid out the problems the company was facing. The Tenacity seemed to be a large part of their issues.

Is there anyone from Alamo Precision Rifles on here? I have noticed many of their builds use the defiance tenacity or antiX. I am curious if they still plan to use defiance actions.

I see we all came here for the same thing. Guess that backlog’s gone.

The Ruckus Tactical is still $1385! Too bad that’s probably a typo.

I think they haven’t updated the entire site. The main Ruckus page has the new price, but when you select a submodel, it’s the old price.

A majority of the actions we produce are actually for hunting.
Do you currently offer those actions under your flagship defiance name?

Or was this in reference to actions you make for your sister company and others?

If they are not offered under the defiance brand is there any consideration being given to introducing them to the defiance line?

Many are under our Defiance brand, with almost every model having a hunting style configuration, however, many are also variants for builders under their brand. The only "sister company" that exists is BadRock Rifles, and that brand has mostly been focused on more competitive shooting than hunting.

Oh gosh... Frank has mentioned in his new podcast (& confirms in thread) that The Extreme Group now has their eyes on Proof Research.

“With 100% truth and honesty, Proof is not for sale. We have been hearing the rumor as well. Our majority owner and board has had offers from big companies in the defense space over the past few years and we have always turned them down. We have made it clear, this isn’t for sale. Our CEO and I even addressed it directly with Bob Beck at SHOT show.”

Tbh I’m glad it’s proof

Give me one major barrel maker to roll the dice on never being able to buy another and I would pick that one.

This is not to say I won’t, I’d buy a mcmillan right now if it fit my needs for a project.

What thread?

It isn't just that Proof makes their own blanks, they are probably the largest "gunsmith" for our sport.

Stock, check… action, check… barrel? Possibly Check

Stand by for over priced cookie cutter bullshit rifles that are “1,831.43 yds out of the box” riddled with QC issues and customer service that acts like you’re a burden when you inevitably need to call.

He’s a big NF fan, but I thought I read he already approached a scope company and they declined.

Or I could just be spreading rumors

Do they need to buy a scope company with the OEM's like LOW and JOL?

Every rifle is cookie cutter

There are

4-5 action companies worth building off of

4-5 barrel mfg worth building off

4-5 stock/chassis worth building off

It’s great for us the consumer as we get great product, but nothing is different anymore

I agree, I think the issues pop up when they try to pump them out at scale. I’m just being flippant.
