She’s grieving man. Of course it was her sons bad choices that got them killed, but she just lost her kids. Anyone in that position would want to have an answer why. Doesn’t mean her kids are junkies at all. I knew a lot of kids growing up that tried pills and are now productive members of society. Doesn’t mean they were junkies. I think you’d be pissed too if the president laughed at the mention of your kids dying as well, no?
I'm not defending him, fuck Biden, all I'm saying is that fulentanyl overdoses have been the leading cause of death in young people for a decade plus. So while it's true that Biden has directly allowed more through the border than anyone, this isn't new. It also isn't up to the president to stop your kid from buying sketchy street drugs. She's looking for someone to blame, and that's probably a contributing factor to why this happened to begin with. Some dude a few thousand miles away sitting in the oval office in a shitty diaper didn't have anything to do with the bad decisions those boys made.
Her sons supposedly thought it was percocet. May or may not have been their first time taking a pill. Many if not most kids will experiment to some extent. These two unfortunately drew bad and lost their lives.

Also I think it’s a bit harsh to call her kids junkies. For all we know they weren’t addicted to shit. Back in my day, which really wasn’t long ago, you could get a Percocet, lortab, etc and know that it was in fact what you intended to consume. Plenty of young adults partied with more than just alcohol and are just fine and upstanding members of their communities. They were 18 & 20. I did way more dangerous shit than eat a Percocet when I was their age (not referring directly to drug use).
I've got a house full of kids. 4 of them in their 20's. If it happened to them, I wouldn't be looking for an animated corpse in DC to blame.

I'm not using dead vets for anything but to make the point that there were a bunch of mothers who would have been justified in demanding an apology or an acknowledgement from the president. This lady's kids essentially committed suicide, and she's out here screaming about how it's someone else's fault. That lack of accountability can eat a bag of dicks. She's owed nothing.

I don't think we disagree about anything. I just don't care that Biden laughed at her. Was this the moment you realized that he was an evil scumbag? He does more evil shit than that to our country every morning before breakfast. Her mistake was thinking that this was an issue she should Parade in front of the potato in chief and expect a satisfactory response.

Again, grief. Don't pretend to know how you will respond if you put yours in the ground early. Nobody in that state of mind is rational. Some handle it better than others, but i'm not going to hold that over her. Takes a bit of empathy to understand that. Sometimes you just have to walk away and thank god you're not in her shoes, because as good as your kids are, or you think they are, they could easily fuck up once and meet the same end. It's not the same these days. These kids didn't say, "Hey, let's do some fentanyl today". They did make an idiotic choice (most kids do), and they paid for it. I'm not so holier than though that i think all kids who pop a pill are junkies, although I'd hope there are less these days because of the increased prevalence of fentanyl laced drugs.
You didn't read the article I shared. They were junkies for years. This wasn't a one off. In and out of rehab for years, per their father. They didn't get hit by lightning, they lived the life for years. You've been sold a line of bullshit and become it's champion. Thats your decision to make, but I'm not going to be cranked up when junkies overdose. It's sad but it happens a thousand times a day, so if you want to be sad, there are a million of these stories, and they make new ones every day.

I'm on the record saying I don't think a lot of drugs should be illegal, and that we wouldn't see a lot of these new synthetics popping up if we haven't engaged in one of the biggest failures in this country, but those who sell to kids should absolutely be shot.
Can't agree with that. I understand why you feel this way, but murder is illegal and that hasn't stopped it. What these boys died on is already banned. You cannot keep people who want drugs and drugs from finding each other, so all more laws do is make it even worse.
Look into Singapore. It is exactly what you think you want, drugs everywhere. More opioid addiction than America could ever imagine.
