Howa: which one is it?

Yep. Looks like a howa 1500.

I know of a few people who had good experiences with Howa. And I think you can still get Howa 1500 barreled actions at Brownell's and then set them in whatever stock or chassis that you want.

I think that's a pretty old gun because they moved to the mini action for 223. They've done a bunch of Kryptek guns over the years so I'm guessing that's what that is. That looks like a standard 1500 short action.

They still make .223 in the 1500 short action too

I didn't know that but I don't exactly keep track. I can see reasons for both. Cabelas had a bunch of blem 223 mini actions with kryptek stocks and 1:8 barrels for $450. Still regret not grabbing one.

Also, you can get one from Shoot Smart, based in the DFW area of north Texas.


Also, Past and Blast in Whitesboro, Texas. I recently bought a rifle from them and transferred there, waiving the fee. But, like anyone, they can ship to the FFA of your choice if you cannot get to their store.
