What we did there wasn't losing, the Og goal was to go after those who attacked US. Which we did. We were not run out of Afghanistan because of the Talibans overwhelming military might... We walked away. There is a big difference. Trying to help those people establish a government is commendable and the people who went there and did it for the most part did it with the right intentions, I as likely many here have friends who lost their lives there. The fact is we can't dictate how they decide to handle their business, that was the mistake. I think they understand the Fuck around and find out graph, they got a 20 year lesson in the repercussions of harboring a terrorist group hell bent on attacking the United States.
The way we left at the end was fucked up. And I truly feel for those who were there who have personal relations with people on the ground and tried like hell to help those people, and people who lost everything doing it. Don't think that escapes me.
