Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Unless you want something way out of the ordinary, just go to the website. I don't know that I've ever had reason to call, but everything I've ordered from them has been run of the mill stuff.

I called in about wanting a prefit for my CDG in something they didn't carry on their site.
Talked to them on the phone, got all the details and answers sorted out and got it ordered.
There is no harm in calling during phone call hours if you have questions about exactly what you want to order or want something a bit different.

what is the best way to contact you in regards to a barrel build? email or phone? I see you can't PM you here. Thanks and look forward to talking to you
Definately call they answer the phone almost immediately, emails are ignored. Also their hours posted on the website don't seem to be right as I have called way outside those hours and they answered on the second ring. Nice guys they don't try to blow you off or bullshit you.

just wanted to get his opinions on different calibers and best options in regards to barrel choice for my build... This is my second build ever and the previous one was off of a Bighorn TL3 with a proof barrel. Also, about fluting and cerakoting potentially.
let me know on the fluting!

I want a 338 lapua or 338 lapua 40 degree they offer 28" maybe?

I see all pictures online are normal barrels no fluting.

I don't allow PM's sent to me here unless I start the conversation because it turns into a nightmare tracking email/phone/PM/Facebook/etc. Missed order changes and worse have happened, so we don't do anything with order changes except via email confirmation.

Please email any questions to office-at-patriotvalleyarms.com

I just got back to the shop after several days out of the office traveling and handling a death in our immediate family, trying to catch up on emails.

The fluting fixture is being built, the mill is running a part for it as I type this. The shortcoming for different options is availability of blanks these days. If we don't have it in stock we don't sell it on the website for obvious reasons. If you have a 29" 338 blank that you want cut into a 338 LM please let me know and we'll be happy to make it fit your action and chamber it.

Sometimes we have an oddball blank sitting around that fits the atypical order that someone is looking for but it doesn't make it onto the website. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks, though a small correction: The phone hours are now a hard limit. I updated our VOIP system to better handle voicemails, call forwarding, etc and also put in a programmed limit on the phone hours as posted on the website. You can leave a voicemail but it's better to email us as the emails are getting handled more efficiently now.

Well, maybe ill get a tracking notification soon then.
Before this thread goes haywire of people trying to figure out when/why their order shipped before someone else:

They're being shipped as completed. We didn't hold everyone's order up front so that they all hit the skid on the same day.

We are through a stack of 6.5 Creeds and as our WIP shelves filled we pushed through everything that was chambered and ready for polish/laser. Then continued 6.5 Creeds and will move on to other stuff.

I mentioned above that 6.5 Creeds were finished, I was mistaken as I was trying to provide updates while traveling and handling a family emergency the past 4-5 days. Even at the standard 6-8 week lead time from the initial opening day of the CDG GB it's still only been a month or so since the first orders were placed. I told people we will get them out as expediently as possible, it's been barely 3 weeks since the print was published the GB ended, people are already getting deliveries.

All good, not intended to sound rude or impatient, its a preorder for an action and barrel, it gets here when it gets here. We are all just excited to get the new shiny that all.

I'm planning a 6 Creedmoor coyote gun.

CDG
22" PVA carbon barrel
KRG Bravo or MPA Hybrid
Trigger Tech 2 stage
TBAC Ultra 7 6.5
Vortex Razor LHT FFP 4.5-22x

Should be around 10.5lbs. Need to get funds to get the barrel ordered.

CDG
PVA OBW 26" 22GT - Proof Comp. Contour
MDT ACC Elite
TT Diamond 2-stage
Razor G3 + M-Brace
PVA Jet4 Muzzle Brake

Barrel arrived from PVA. It's a real beauty.

Did you all do fluted or unfluted bolt on your CDG preorder? I went unfluted but have fomo.

Yup this is definitely making it better 😂 Can I ask why fluted?

I've never seen quite such opinionated fluting before. It does look cool. But, it doesn't seem it should add any functional benefit the way it's only on the top/side of the bolt. Due to the depth of flutes, I worry it could be a potential source of entry for dirt/debris that would then fall down into the action more easily.

Am I crazy/paranoid? If so, there's still time to right this wrong.

Saves weight
Looks cool
leads any dirt/debris down into the magazine and out of the action.
It's smooth at the bottom to make contact with your rounds so it's not like a bumpy road loading.

Since the rest of us are hardcore operators, we need the bolt to run when its caked with our bullshit.

Seriously tho, it looks cool and if you dont run the bolt like a moron there are no real down sides.

Just received an email from Gene at Carbon Six that they will be cutting my magnum barrel with a conical breech and that it’s in the final stages so hopefully it’ll be shipping soon. My build will be:

20” Carbon Six Barrel 7mm PRC
MDT HNT26 chassis
Triggertech Primary or Special trigger
Bushnell LRTS 3-12 scope

Not a customer, but fan of your folks business. I'm sorry to hear about the death in the family. I'm sure the whole hide offers condolences and best wishes.

@karagias
I'm a southpaw and need a Left Handed action... What would be the delivery date if I put in my $899 now? thnx

Since it was originally stated that left handed short actions would be produced before they begin long actions, you may want to order now or face an even longer wait if you don't get an order in before they begin production on the longs. Only way to get a rough idea is to call. If you want a long action lefty, may be a while.

Thank you, it wasn't unexpected but there's only so much you can prepare for mentally before it happens. I appreciate it.

While i was waiting i did a thing to my whiskey 3 chassis.

@Jon_ARC any news on the stock inlet? Bella said you folks would have it on the website in a few days and that was before even the tenon drawing was finalized.

We're fluting the Ospreys now.

If you have a CDG Prefit on the Group Buy and want it fluted, please let me know ASAP so I can get it in the machine.
For those that the barrel shipped already, if you want it fluted I'll do it for the combo price on the prefit page, just get it back to me.
