Trump - Indicted

But the responses from Trump and DeSantis were particularly notable, both because of their stature in the party and the similarities of their positions. They contended that American involvement had only drawn Russia closer to other adversarial states like China and condemned the tens of billions of dollars that the United States has provided in aid for Ukraine.

“We cannot prioritize intervention in an escalating foreign war over the defense of our own homeland,” wrote DeSantis

“While the U.S. has many vital national interests — securing our borders, addressing the crisis of readiness within our military, achieving energy security and independence, and checking the economic, cultural, and military power of the Chinese Communist Party — becoming further entangled in a territorial dispute between Ukraine and Russia is not one of them,” DeSantis wrote

damn yankees
More political double talk. He's willing to keep printing money for the uke's retirement, supplying weapons, keeping the money laundering going but not getting further entangled. YET.
I haven't seen where he's said anything about the two sides need to sit down and negotiate. I haven't seen where he's said that the only people being affected by the sanctions are the citizens of the NATO countries supporting the uke's.

Did you know that they removed the word gullible from the dictionary? Look it up

Doesn't seem like much of an obstacle. It probably guarantees him the most extensive media coverage of all candidates without any effort on his part. Joe won from his basement right? If Joe didn't legitimately win then this is all for entertainment purposes. No strategy needed.
Yes but that was Joe who has the Dem media to run interference for him .They spun everything for Joe to the positive and still do.Trump made himself the mortal enemy of the MSM when he called them fake news and the biggest threat to democracy.

Think about the airwaves being sucked up by this Trump business right now, it's free press, talk about galvanizing his base.

I have seen some negative press from the right regarding DeSantis, is there any reason people don't like him? Honest question.
He is moldable/controllable.

Mincing words like every other politician. A check point is just another term. They let trucks through but cars were not allowed to just drive through. It was unconstitutional. There's no disputing that. If he will do that. How far is he willing to go for the next made up fear? It was rather telling where the PO PO stand on violating citizens rights. Just following orders. Muh paycheck and retirement and the rest of the Nuremberg excuses.

It's nice of you to admit that you are good with the government violating citizens rights.
You are the one who said block. Which they did not do. They required people coming from high-risk areas to quarantine.

In my opinion, you’re the one mincing words

Funny thing Trump's attorney mentioned what Frank mentioned. They will try to turn a misdemeanor into a felony.

It is still a nothing burger and it is not emoluments. And at least it is homegrown girls pissing on a bed instead of russian girls.

No one said anything about the DNC and HRC paying a real ex-spy to come up with a "dossier" designed to throw an election. And HRC's email fiasco is a real crime.

are you saying, cause Frank be short, somehow, this would go over his head??^^^

I have the receipts, you all are a threat

You all are on a list just being here, this place is a huge red flag because they can't control the conversation

The Regime lives on SH in the shadows just waiting for you to cross the ever moving invisible line
Fixed that for you.

Can you drive through a DUI checkpoint without stopping? Is that a roadblock or a check point?

whether to arm Ukraine, DeSantis said in 2015, “We in the Congress have been urging (Obama) — I’ve been — to provide arms to Ukraine. They want to fight their good fight. They’re not asking us to fight it for them. And the president has steadfastly refused. And I think that that’s a mistake.”

As recently as March 2022, DeSantis said at a news conference: “When I was in Congress under President Trump, we funded a lot of weapons for Ukraine to be able to defend themselves.”

The way he answered the questions on Tucker were pretty much the same thing. We should fund the uke's but not get involved? Ummm, funding and supplying weapons is being involved. Now that we have a troop build up in the area we are only a false flag for boots getting involved. Maybe you have not paid attention over the last 75 years of military action and how it started

Hey now you added some words to my quote, assume it was unintentional.

And you can drive though a DUI check point/Screening, if you are sober. If you are stumbling drunk... likely not. Similar to how they were screening people from high risk areas. Very similar.

Yeah I have been paying attention, yes I am aware Trump's administration was the first to send lethal aid. Your point/concern is valid as to DeSantis's back and forth. He is not opposed to aiding them, what he is against is a seemly blank check/lack of oversight in the Hundreds of Billions hemorrhaging from our coffers into the country and making it our #1 priority. The current escalation has changed things since 2015. I hear your concern and definitely a VALID CONCERN.

So, no you can NOT drive through a DUI checkpoint. They BLOCK the road. The same thing that the Florida highway patrol did under the order of desantis. Once you were screened they allowed you to move on. They allowed the truck drivers through but not cars.
That was unconstitutional and for you to be in agreement with that says a lot. COVID nor anything else suspends the constitution.

Yes I did add. Usually when I reply in someone else's quotes and hit enter. It isolates that portion. Then I can respond to the second part of the quote. For some reason that didn't happen.

You can't conduct a screening or a road BLOCK in motion. Yes they have to stop cars to do it, but they did not Block any one from coming, in the case of covid or a DUI or in my opinion do anything unreasonable. I am unaware of any ruling from the Supreme Court that has ruled such action as unconstitutional. If you have some examples of it being challenged, I am all eyes and ears.

Just to throw a curve ball, what about when an accident happens and officials block the road to deal with the issue and mitigate further damage and injury. Do you consider that Unconstitutional? Or do you see it as prudent to blast past the accident on the shoulder because you can't be bothered to slow your roll?

Sorry to the OP this is getting way off topic.

Have the Charges against Trump been unsealed or are they still sitting on it?

LOL the token NYC police cum missioner(spelling intended ) stated there will be zero tolerance for violence at any demonstration unless of course you are animals who are "peacefully" protesting in honor of a hood rat convicted felon who died of a fentanyl OD.Then it's fine to just burn and loot no problem and she may even bail you out if you even get charged.

The wonderful thing about this country, is that it matters not what thee and me think or believe about this indictment. A courtroom is a crucible in which shouting and opinions give way to the facts, and the law. Both parties will have their day in court ... with a unanimous jury necessary to convict, and only one juror necessary to acquit. That definitely puts the odds in Trump's favor, so long as (a) this case is as weak as many here believe, and (b) he's telling the truth. Like others have said ... either way ... it's going to be entertaining. I think it could go either way in this case. IMHO the investigations he should fear are the "Insurrection" case, and the "Document" case. Once insiders start rolling over to protect themselves, those will prove to be very dangerous. We shall see ...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA

I don't get the reasoning behind his "self extradition" to NYC after demanding that DeSantis pledge to not extradite. Trump is not a New York resident and the NYPD has NO jurisdiction in FL, so why give them the photo op?

Most big police departments will have a few officers who are sworn as US Marshals or whatever it's called that allows them to cross state boundaries and arrest people.

Would also have to contend with Secret Service detail that a former POTUS rates. It's not like Trump is hiding out in the local Motel 6 like a tweaker, he has an estate that would take serious work just to get to the front door. The NYPD Extradition Unit would need more that a couple of "sworn Marshalls" to affect that arrest without local cooperation.

Are you honestly suggesting he go Randy Weaver here?

He is a big boy and standing up to his accusations. There is honor in that regardless the level of witch hunt going on.

I think this indictment will help Trump win the Republican primary. It will be Trump vs Biden again. We all know what happened last time and it will happen again. The only way Biden could lose is if he died and even then we know that Dems would still vote for him. SMDH
They will have to print a lot more ballots this time around, but I expect it to be the same 1am spike in blue votes...

Which is not saying a lot, I know.

Do you or don't you have the right to freely travel between the states? Do you or do you not have the right to not be unreasonable search?
If you are good with a cavity search. By all means go ahead and let them. But I will stand up for my rights.
Somehow I don't think that the governor has the authority to wholesale order a search of all people traveling. If you want to conflate that with a safety issue. You are dumber than I already thought.

You have a point there. If you grow your hair out, you can cover it up.

So, while not liking checkpoints, there are people who are driving drunk. So, let's shoot them to save other lives and also to decrease the need for sobriety checkpoints. I am not applauding the checkpoints. I also do not applaud a person getting drunk and driving and killing innocent people.

So, always keep a few extra loaded mags. There are a lot of drunk drivers on the road.

Really? Is that what you read?
This is a discussion on the governor (desantis) having the highway patrol stop traffic on the interstate to check them for COVID. Not DUI checkpoints.
Go back and read the posts.

I do not think what they did is unreasonable and I am unaware of a judge, not you on the internet, a judge in a court of law, ruling it unconstitutional. So thats like your opinion man… which you are entitled to. I happen to disagree.

These check points are announced publicly. Nobody is forcing you to drive through them. Tons of back roads, not interstate that were not being monitored, i crossed state lines during that time with no issues, multiple times.

You are the one who brought up DUI stops, which people driving drunk is definitely a safety issue, it is some cases is a felony, so was covid, wether you believe it or not. So calling me a dumb… lol

You are an idiot aren't you.
You wanted to dicker about the difference in a roadblock and a checkpoint and I asked if you can drive through a DUI checkpoint without stopping. They are the same damn thing. Go back and read it.
The highway patrol blocked the road to check people on orders from desantis.
If no one challenged it why would a judge make a ruling on it?
Again, is it a constitutional right to travel freely between the states? Are warrantless searches constitutional?
Just because YOU are alright with it doesn't matter.

Yeah, COVID was bs until my wife got it and then I got it. That being said, a z-pack got me through it quickly. And for me to enter the facility where she is, I have to wear a face mask. There are other hills to die on, such as refusing for her to have a C-19 booster (I have her durable PoA and medical PoA.)

So, De Santis, not trusting the feds for some reason, decided to screen people? Back when no one knew what it was and even Trump was trying to get "Warp Speed" going?

Okay, so crap on De Santis, too.

Which other Rights are you willing to give up?
Hmmm, the 2A because of a rash of shootings like Vegas? The 5A because the police decided that solving a major crisis is more important for the safety of the masses? The first because your speech is anti democratic? The first because the government says that your religion is against the state established religion and you are an anarchist?
I don't remember reading any caveats in the bill of rights.

So let's look at that. They let the truckers through unabated. They didn't stop traffic on secondary roads. They didn't stop people from entering on airlines.
I'd say that cancels the caveats in your SCOTUS rulings.

I also do not see any caveats in the Bill of Rights. You are free to do whatever you want. And to face consequences. Some good, some bad.

So, go into a prison and tell the biggest guy there that his mother's butthole feels pretty good, once you get past the used part.

You have that freedom. Go ahead and do it.

Go into a bar where the Mongols MC hang out. Laugh at their "mopeds." You have that freedom. What or who is stopping you?

I am guessing at least three.

Why tho? Conservatives already know this. No exposure needed. And, nobody is doing anything currently. Even if exposed, nobody will ever do anything. I’m damn near convinced Fuhrer Biden could shoot someone in the head in the middle of the street with cameras watching in the middle of the day and nobody would do a damn thing.

Seriously? Ain’t nobody gonna do anything. I’m not trying to rile anyone up but considering nobody has lifted a finger so far, ASGH.
They'd find a way to blame the victim for getting in the way of the bullet.

Trying to have a conversation about another conversation you can't follow. You got the COVID confusion, makes you sound very vaxxinated.

According to Fox, 34 felonies?

Trump's horseface payment was an election violation (??)

Trump wrote payments by check to pay his lawyer back for the horseface payment and called them "legal fees" not "horseface hush money".

Trump wrote 30 something checks so one felony for each check.

Bill paid off Stormy Daniels with laundered hush money and Hillary did much worse, but you know the law doesn't stick to the slime people.

You did not answer my question.

I have had no C-19 injections and have rejected them for my wife, as I have her medical PoA.

But we have had C-19, it is real.

Several years ago, in Dallas was a case of Ebola. The patient was quarantined and no one complained about restrictions on that person's freedom of travel.

I don't care who or what you think you are, there is an authority somewhere you have to deal with. In fact, get your self some Mongol patches and ride a motorcycle through the territory (and they do have territories) of the Outlaws MC. To quote a line from Southpark, "You will respect my - authorit-eye."

So, putting up with a screen process at the time seemed to be safe to do.

And what is government but a bunch of yahoos with guns?

Has anyone in this debate ever had to be detained at a stop for a C-19 screen while driving? Right now, all I can hear is crickets chirping.
