Reactions: Too Funny
Decided I wasn’t as happy as I wanted to be with my last paint job. So I stripped it and tried something different.

Awesome rifle.I have thesame one.Very Accurate..I took 4th in Blakely,GA in Jan with itin Light gun Division.Hit 1st,2nd 3rd & 4th shots/( i missed 5th shot) impacts at 2,022yards.The score keeper told me my group was 2 1/2 inches. Shooting 250gr A Tips. I did put an Adjustable Bag Rider on mine.It really helped.

So, here is my Daughter's rifle I finished putting together. It is put together with some leftover parts I had from when I was shooting RH guns lefthanded, and a barreled action chambersmed by Dane Miller in Las Vegas. Also It really likes the load I shoot out of my LF gun. View attachment 8111206View attachment 8111208
question, what is the purpose for that tape on the scope, I have seen it on a bunch of rifles, but never known the purpose of it.

That particular stock is the x-ray and I like it a lot. It was one of my first nice builds and it shoots surprisingly well. I still need to get a 7RM specific mag for it. The one in it is for a 300WM or 300RUM. At least in this case the stock made a big difference in accuracy. It will stack 3 consecutive 180 gr ELDs pretty tight.
So is it worth the coin? Yeah compared to whats available and price KRG has a quality product.

Mine two Remmy 700 , blueprinted,LW barrels .223 , 1-7 twist. Sweetshooting , the Leatherwood scope match range to 700m. 77gr sierra bullets.

Bordem + extra money resulted in me rebuilding my Ruger American in 6.5 CM. The only thing that remains from the RA is the receiver and bolt body.
  • 26" Krieger barrel, MTU profile, cut rifled by Precision Firearms, WV
  • MDT LSS XL Gen2 Chassis
  • MDT Folding Stock Adapter
  • MDT Baker Wings
  • Anarchy Outdoors Penguin Grip
  • Anarchy Outdoors Firing Pin/Retainer
  • Anarchy Outdoors Titanium Bolt Shroud
  • Catalyst Arms Apex Bag Rider
  • AD Arms Billet Cocker
  • Atlas V8 BT10 Bipod
  • Atlas BT22 3" Leg Extensions
  • Area 419 Hellfire brake
  • Timney Trigger
  • SendiT Electronic Level
  • Arken 20 MOA Cantilever Scope Mount
  • Arken Flip-up Scope Covers
  • Arken Throw Lever
  • Arken EP5 5-25x56 FFP MIL Scope
I've replaced the Ruger Precision buttstock with an MDT SRS Short.

I needed to put the Ruger Precision buttstock back on my RPR because the Magpul PRS Gen 3 wasn't designed for normal humans, the LOP adjustment to go longer seems like it was designed for people with really long arms.

Also need to make a trip out to 360 Precision in PA soon so they can flute my bolt and barrel, possibly some cerokote for the barrel but I haven't decided on that yet.

New pictures to come.

Update: I was reading about some flex in the forend of the MDT LSS XL Gen2 Chassis so I ordered a MDT 10.25" Arca rail to stabilize the flex as others have suggested.

Also purchased:
  • MDT LRA Adjustable level scope mount
  • MDT 20 MOA Picatinny scope base
  • Area419 Arcalock for Atlas bipod
Also, looking into replacing my Arken scope with a Tract Toric 4.5-30x56 MRAD scope; funds permitting.

How’s it choot? And what mags are you running?

I’m doing the exact same thing - same caliber and chassis even - just need to upgrade the factory barrel. I’ve tried using an MDT 12rd mags and it was getting hung up. The factory Ruger AICS 3rd mag works and so does a 10rd Accurate mag but wondering what you’re using as it looks polymer. Ruger or Magpul?

Haven't been able to get her out to the range yet, but I use Magpul AICS mags.

My sport Izhmash Record-1-308. I bought it recently - no information about its past - do not know if were used by a sport club or individual owner(s). The rifle is 20 years old but was maintained very well and the bore is in excellent condition. Externally there are some faults - the front and rear iron sight are missing, there are some scratches on the wood, no documents and accessories ( regulation key ) but apart from that it is in a very good shape. I decided to replace the original adjustable butt stock and put instead a rubber buffer of the SVD type. It is more convenient for me and I guess the recoil will be less. [ without irreversible tampering, it is easy to restore original configuration ]

As there are no iron sights I decided to mount a PKS-07 scope - I hope that it will work fine and its original calibration for 7,62x54 will allow also use of Win .308 cartridge with an acceptable adjustment and introduction of corrections .

I was thinking about painting the stock green to make it look like SV-98 sniper rifle, which originates from Record-1 rifle, but decided not to. That dark brown wood looks nice.

The look before and after
Record-1-308 offered vs modified.jpg

I put this 308 together today. I resurrected and old a4 stock over the last couple of weeks. Someone had gouged out the barrel channel so wide you could have put a 3 inch diameter barrelled potato gun in it and had clearance.
Only thing I'm not satisfied with is the barrel length. I told my smith I wanted it cut to 24" from the lug. He made it 24" from the bolt face so its only 23" from the lug

Upgraded from the brand new Zeiss V4 on my 20” CA Ridgeline FFT 7mm-08 that I just installed a couple months ago. Decided to put a Kahles K318i CCW RSW SKMR3 in a set of 1.00” 34mm ARC M-BRACE rings. It’s about 8 oz. heavier, but it was already so light, it didn’t affect anything. 👍🏼

Barrel length? What kind of bullet and velocity are you running with that rig? Looks bad ass.

Happy shooting.
Thank you sir. It’s my whitetail and “off season” varmit rifle cause it does some damage. Currently running Nosler 110g ballistic tips at 2950fps. Pretty amazing what that 6mmBR case can do!

-Kelbys Atlas SA
-18” 1-17t X-Caliber CF barrel (bull contour)
-Manners TCS/PRS chassis
-Trigger Tech diamond
-Leupold MK 5 3.6-18x44 (usually running my thermal on it though)
-Bobro one piece QD mount

@christiant94 All 5 off my CA rifles have smooth actions. Are they butter-smooth like a solid-steel full-weight jeweled bolt 700 that’s been lapped and blueprinted? Not quite, because they’re lightweight actions, and the lug & raceway tolerances are noticeably tighter than my factory 700’s (minimal bolt slop). But brand new out of the box they are as smooth as any of my factory 700’s have been, and they are working-in and getting even smoother every range session (25-50 rounds per session).

I will give you one piece of advice, if you do get a CA rifle… If it doesn’t come with the larger Tactical Bolt Knob from the factory, put one on it. The lightweight bolts don’t have as much mass as a full-weight bolt, and the extra leverage and weight of the tactical bolt knob, really helps with running, opening, and cocking the action smoothly. I swapped to the Tactical bolt knobs on my Ranger 22 and my Ridgeline .280 Ackley. Both of them came with the standard small knob, and I have big hands, so it was not comfortable for me. Once I installed the larger Tactical knobs on there, it was night & day better.

Thank you! The larger weight bolt knob does make a lot of sense, I have a Defiance anTi and it's smooth but the small bolt knob is less than ideal. I'm wanting to try a Christensen barreled action and maybe down the road an MPR. Thanks again!
