I did it. I’ve wanted an AI since I joined this site years ago.
I went down the custom path a few times and always ended up selling them.
Now I have my AT and it’s all I really want.
If AI could come out with a 223 rifle I’d be sold.

Buy a spare bolt body and send it to bugholes and get the 223 conversion bolt head and barrel done and be shooting 223 out of your AT this year.
I know AI hinted they were going to start making 223 and short mag bolts in that ATX unveiling video from a couple years ago, but waiting for anything new from AI is a true exercise in patience.

Ovverated AF. Overpriced AF for MC systems. Had an AE, AT and AW and sold them all. You can build a better rifle for less money and it will be more reliable with less small parts breakage than an AI. 20 years ago when the market was in a different place, AI had its mantle. Today, they are surpassed and its either company guns or posers running them. Watching the First 2 gens of AT-X and then the 3rd gen choke a few weekends ago has been entertaining.
I also like having different rifles and I do, for a few different purposes. But I also like the saying, beware of the guy who only has one gun. Chances are that he knows how to use it really well.
Axsa and now gen1 atx have been flawless in thousands of rounds of 762/6cm/6.5cm
Maybe the short gamer rounds don’t feed well. That’s not the guns fault

You clearly don't compete. Sample size of 1. I live shoot and compete in the highest density of AI shooters in the world.
They are poser guns, unless your agency buys one.
Hi my name is Phil and I am an AI junkie it been 1 week since my last fix. I made it almost 4 years since my last fix. I was just looking here on the Hide when there she was an AXMC with 2 barrels 3 mags 3 bolts 300wm and 338lm large firing pin and a 308 small firing bolts.
I have an AI-PSR (the first switch barrel) AX,AT,AE. so this will be number 5. I know I have a problem but I think just 1 more will fix it.

I’ll take an AI over a custom rifle all day everyday. I, like a lot in this thread, have sold multiple customs and ended up with multiple AIs. What’s so bad about them or poser ish?
