Story time:
In another lifetime I worked for the "worlds foremost outfitter" in Kansas City Kansas. If you don't know the area lets just say the store was well outside of the city, but not that far. And that general area is not that great.
Kansas Speedway is basically in the parking lot and "race weekend" was a real busy.....week. The first nascar race some idiot along the lines of the fake gas dude decided it would be a real good idea to steal a car from the parking lot, there are so many there he could have his pick. Now it might be racist or something but people like him are not the normal customers and it seems people noticed this skinny guy acting funny around cars, but no one did anything. Then he gets in a car and you can hear on the tape, HAY THATS MY CAR MF'er. I bet 100 people pounced on him drug him out of the car and beat the ever living shit out of him. Missing teeth and the fire department had to come out and hose the blood off the parking lot.
I am not quite sure why but in the two years I worked there we never had issues with stolen cars, or people having issues in the parking lot, I am not quite sure why, there is quite a bit of money coming and going and nice cars.
If anyone has a suggestion on why this single spot in "the dot" was so crime free I am all ears.
