What cars you fools have?

My plan(very hypothetical right now) is to import a cdi G from early to mid 00’s so fuel economy will be much better that the G55. I would absolutely love to get a G400 with the bi-turbo V8 diesel but any 5 or 6 cylinder cdi will do. There are plenty of options to get more power if I feel the need. And maybe if I win the lottery I can put portal boxes on it…
This G400

I need a 4dr and one that doesn’t have all the Brabus body kit nonsense but yes, that’s what I want so bad. The G270(5cyl diesel) is no slouch though. There are plenty of YouTube videos of them doing just as crazy shit as any other G

95 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x. It’s a beater mostly used for dump runs & it’s a pig that my wife calls Christine. It try’s to spit her out every time she rides in it. Last time She was in it the brake pedal hit the floor as we approached a circle With 4 or 5 cars stopped. I jumped the curb and rode the skinny little strip of grass scrapping a few trees. Thought we were in the clear and there was one of those big fucking home builder signs on 4x4’s. Took that Fucker out & merged back onto the road. Turned to my wife and just snickered. Her…speachless.
I then said to her, remember all the countless times you’ve grabbed the dash and overreacted when I was not about to crash. Well we finally crash and you don’t say shit, not a peep. Then she started laughing. Said if she’d have been driving it’d a been a 4 car pile up.

She has vowed to never ride in that fucker again. Literaly every time it has broken shes been in it.

None. I have heard of issues with the DEF heaters but mine has been fine.

The dealer said the key is to keep the tank near full.
I’ve heard that about the def level as well. Good to know, thanks. One of these may be on my radar at some point as well

No cars. Long travel 4x4 5 speed t100 is coming along slowly. Supercharger or turbo coming after the kinks are worked out. Wont be fast, but 5.29 gears outta help it.out the hole. Gmc syclone with roughly 800 hp will be the next to finish, if the economy holds out for another year. So it might be another 10 years. Lol.

Picked this up a couple months ago.

2021 TRD Off-Road with less than 14K miles. It was a trade in at a Subaru dealership in Denver. first thing I did to it was remove the stupid step bars, and I had to laugh when crawling under the truck, as it looked as of it was never driven in the rain or snow. Probably bought by some suburban couple to haul lawn and patio furniture home from Home Depot, as it was in perfect condition other than a scuff on the plastic piece on top of the tail gate.

What was the time?

This puts the car well into the top 5 list for quickest all steel GTO's here in the states. In fact, were wooping on quite a few guys that have converted the cars over to a solid rear axle. I chose to keep this thing with the OEM IRS setup.

It's been a great deal of work sorting it out, but now that we're making progress it's very encouraging. The next plan is to turn it back up. There are 10lbs of boost left to throw at this thing, which will chew on the mph and the ET.

The smile on my face comes from the fact that there were numerous 4-link, fat tire cars there last Friday, and based on what they disclosed, our 60' times were within hundredths of theirs.

We killed a crankshaft a couple of weeks ago with this. The blower drive hub sheared the drift key and went bad afterward. The new crank arrived a week later, and I cut double keys in it. I had to order a new hub from ATI, which turned into its own shitshow as UPS let it sit in KY for two days. That resulted in a thrash fest Friday afternoon/evening I modeled up the old one quick in SW and ended up making it from a stick of 4130 prehard. We finally made it to the track by 7:30 and got some test passes.

Very cool!!! Curious is 1/8 racing the new thing? I see it on that discovery show that they’re all racing an 1/8. Is 1/4 not that popular anymore?

I think it has to do with the insurance due to the added speeds things are moving at these days. Top Fuel isn't a quarter mile anymore (1,000ft) for the same reasons.

8th mile has been around for a long time though. Depending on what/where you research, it's been suggested that the roots of drag racing started at the 8th mile.

On the show it's a safety thing. Those guys are doing 150+ in the 8th, which is well into the 200's in the 1/4. Sub 5 second 1/8 is low 7 high 6 1/4, so you can cover the same distance in 1/2 the time and things can go bad way quicker.

There's still plenty of 1/8th mile tracks where they just didn't have room to build bigger. Lots of old tracks were built for the local guys to test and tune, and then they may have went to the "big track" an hour away for big events.

Then there's the guys that don't want to totally destroy their street car, and keep the speed down with less cage and chassis requirements.

Not new....but I do drive it to work, up North and run to the dump on Saturdays and pull the ATV trailer with it as well!

I ditched the chrome spokes a couple of years ago and went to what I wanted originally on the truck...aluminum slots!

1664805067933.jpeg

I do have the Cactus Smasher on the front bumper now again. I restored it and had it powder coated. Originally after I rebuilt it (lower horizontal bar was bent) I just did a quick spray bomb job on it. Just no pic of it as of yet with the slots on the truck at the same time.

Yes the truck has pretty much a stock 460 in it for an engine. Yes it only gets 9mpg! Yes the 4wd works as well. It's as aerodynamic as a brick but I trust that truck more than any of the newer computer controlled cars out there and I would drive that truck to CA if I had to.

Had a friend in HS had one of these HP 390 4 speed, that thing would smoke the tires in 3rd gear, freakin fast.
But not as fast as my other buddy’s 70 Chevell with 454 LS 6 4 speed, that thing was up in smoke in every gear !
This one has a 12:1 compression 428 with an old Holman Moody solid roller cam. 4spd….

Not much use on street tires.

My dad had a Ford F-150 pick up and had a 428 motor with 410 gears, he bought it that way. Not sure why it was geared so low with that motor.
I just always remembered when you got on that motor how it had a whistle sound to it.

4.10 was a factory gear. You could order it on the option list.

I had a 70 Bronco. Factory 302 engine 3 speed manual and it came with 4.10 gears also. Standard I believe was 3.50 gears. My 77 F150 pictured has 3.50’s in it. With the 33” tires on it 3.70 type gear would be a touch nicer but not gonna change out the 3.50’s. Will cruise all day long at 75mph.

Used to run in radial class at Milan Dragway. 8.96 at 156mph was fastest pass. I’m Done! C16 + NOS and upkeep got out of hand and decided to invest into some flip houses than burn cash away after housing crash.

My new 2022 Audi RS6. I waited over 13 months for it to arrive from the time I ordered it. Then it sat in the garage until my detailer could get it in for paint correction, window tint, full ppf, and ceramic coating.

It joins my 2013 LRP M3 and 2018 911 GTS. The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit got relegated to the driveway.

And it's changed already... I was tinkering in the garage today, while Brandy took a nap on the cart...

Not sure if she just wanted to be in the shade or not. Maybe she was hinting at another ride... we'd been to the hardware store 3 times already, lol. Anyhow, Looking for something among my mess I ran across the grill from an old car I had over 20 years ago. A 1963 Ford Fairlane 500. I knew I kept it for a reason, so I cut it up, and put it on the golf cart.

Then (of course) we went out for another ride to break it in.
I like the grill on it, but with the square headlights, it looks more like 1980s than 1960s...

Brandy is my copilot.JPG

Fucking Christ, I have been the ringleader of an absolute vehicle clown show the last few weeks that has seen 2 rental cars and 2 cars purchased but only driven for 72 hours combined. We finally settled on, hopefully for a long time(crossing all digits) an ‘18 Nissan Armada w/ 101k miles. Pearl white w/ black leather interior and all the fixins, except rear entertainment for the kidders. Kinda bummed about that but we’ll somehow struggle forward in life. This thing is an absolute monster. It’s going to be towing our camper all over CO and I already want to buy all of the off road/over landing shit for it. I also need to figure out if some Patrol(more hardcore, rest of world version) parts are a feasible option…On to the pics!

Looks like a 2018 911 GTS…

Yes, a 2018 911 GTS with custom factory Voodoo Blue paint. Previously had a 2011 997.2 GT3rs from new, but it drew too much attention to itself to drive out to dinner and run errands. Paired with the value going up I sold it and bought this new. No worries taking this to dinner and running errands. I also like the PDK in this one since I still have a manual in the M3. Poor photo below.
