Slowly piecing out my next AR. For lower and upper, should I go with a Zev billet (or maybe Mega) set or Seekins Nx15 lower and IRMT3 upper?

Besides weight, any big differences between the NX15 and the Sp223 gen 2? Their descriptions on the site are practically identical. Any one have practical experience with the two?

You can’t go wrong with either, get the one you like. If you’re going to go Seekins I’d get the IRMT-3 upper that their HG bolts right to, it’s a good system.

I don't see any bolts on their sites. Is that a special order thing?

I built on a mega set, used a Seekins BCG. I’m happy with it so far, I’ve ran it out to 600 yards.

I've always built on Noveske receivers but they're getting stupid hard to find. You have me looking at Seekins now for my 18" build.

Just bought the 223P gen 2 receiver set. How are the seekins charging handles with suppressors?

I use a SilencerCo gas buster in my Seekins and it seems to do a great job not just gimmicky. They’re actually in stock currently which is unusual!

Their BCGs are great. They’re the rate limiting factor to full builds so they don’t advertise them for sale on the site. This is my understanding from conversations with a rep that’s been there a long time. That being said if you contact them, I usually call, they may sell you one. Some barrel manufacturers, like Proof, recommend JP HP bolts because of quality and guaranteed correct headspace to their barrel so keep that in mind. You can pick any quality carrier for it. I like Fail Zeros coating so I use those.

I found a NOX15 BCG on primary arms. Don't know how many different ones they have but ordered that one.

Seekins makes good stuff, but Zev/Mega will be a thermal fit for the barrel. The Zev billet set also saves you some weight.
