16-18 inch shorty rifles

Just got my 308 trainer barrel in for my AI AT.

Topped it with a ZCO 4-20, CGS Hyperion, Atlas CAL, and swapped the stock to the AX version. It’s the perfect ranch rifle.

What are y’all using for ammo? I’m shooting 175gr Lapua Scenar-L factory ammo pushing ~2425fps.

16" 300 Blackout
Accurate Ordnance Receiver + Stiller 20 MOA Rail
Wilson Barrel from @FisherT&C
KRG Bravo w. NV Spigot
ADM 30MOA Mount
Bushnell LRTS Elite 4.5-18
Timney HIT Trigger
Sig 7.62Ti QD suppressor
DBAL A2

Shoots amazing with N110, Starline Brass, Ginex Primers, and Noslers 220gr Custom Competition bullets. Have hits out to 630 yards on steel with subsonics.

I have the zero stop set 2.1mils below my 50yd subsonic zero. That puts me dead center at 100yds for Barnes 110 VOR-TX ammo, then I use the grid reticle for holdovers.

I got a something similar coming with a proof carbon fiber barrel and Manners Pro Hunter. I’ll post as soon as S&S Precision is done with it.

223 Tikka T3X lite chopped to 16"
I added the vertical grip and wider forend to the stock and am pleased with the results. It shoots great with my AR match load with 77smk and 24gr of Varget. Gonna be a great truck/SxS gun for critters

I dig that, do the factory mags have enough OAL to run long bullets like 75gr and 80gr ELD's?

No. I’m either going to pickup a couple of Waters magazines or swap to some sort of bottom metal in the future. I have a pile of the 77s on hand and most of my shooting is 600 and in.
77tmk are hell on game down to bout 1600fps too. Rokslide has a thread, guys hammering elk with 77tmk, one was down to 1400fps and still had major vital damage. Impressive lil bullet, glad I have a bunch.

Same rig, now with M-Brace mount. It just felt like it needed to happen on this rifle.

Hennig,

I saw your rifle somewhere else, on Reddit maybe, can't remember. I took a screen shot and looked at it many times. It's the most beautiful rifle I ever saw. Maybe the most beautiful thing period. Everything is perfect, even the contour of the barrel. No need to talk about the Cerakote... I want a poster of it !

Sorry , that may sound ass-licking, but I had to say it, it's just incredible.

Ahha thanks mate - yeah it’s been whored around on Reddit etc a bit. I’ve got a lot of customs with lots of cool schemes, but this one holds a special place in the collection.

Their anthem-k in a titanium version would be exactly what I'm looking.
Look at the Otter Creek Labs Hydrogen series... They offer an L, S, and K version, in both a 7.62 and 6.5mm bore. They're good friends with the Liberty Precision guys, and both talk really highly about each other's cans.

I have 4 of the OCL cans so far, and they're excellent suppressors. I have a Hydro-L 7.62, a Hydro-S 7.62, a Hydro-S 6.5mm, and a Polonium 5.56.
