Good Eve,

I am looking for an AI AWM / AWSM, either caliber is fine. Folding stock preferred but not a deal breaker, as I realize some of them are not.

Condition and round count not huge as long as the rifle hasn't been completely ran through. PM me.

Thanks,

Grant

Those things are fetching a pretty high price right about now.
Especially the 2.0 version with the folding stock and original barrels.

I know, I was thinking of maybe shifting my search to a newer model from AI, but I want the icon!! Either way their stuff is not cheap, I feel like.

Part of the reason is that while AI and everyone else has gone all in on the blocky pistol grip type chassis, the AW and the AWSM harken back to a different era and for many, the ergonomics of the good old classic thumbhole stock are actually preferred over the modern design.

I've got an AW and an AWSM in the 2.0 and they are great rifles.
I've also got the newer AXMC and my friend has the AXSR but if I had to pick one rifle to bet my life or or the life of someone I cared about on, it would be that good old trusty AW.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for them? I would really like to get my hands on one, There is one for sale in the UK right now for 5K, I reached out and told him I am in TX and he calculated 2500 for shipping over seas . If you come across one for sale, please don't hesitate to reach out!

The price I paid for them probably bears no resemblance of what they cost today.
I bought them back when a gallon of gasoline was under $1, a gallon of milk was $0.69 and the average cost of a family home in a decent suburb was $100k

For $5k if it's a nice condition 2.0 model, that's a great deal.
Shipping isn't nearly as expensive as he says, but the problem is all the import paperwork and stuff can be hugely expensive if it's not someone already doing it on the regular.

Last good original AWSM 2.0 rifles I saw selling recently were fetching up to $10k
(Around the same price as the current AXSR)

Yeah from what I gathered, they are going for high dollars these days. I have just always been a huge fan of these rifles and I guess there is something to be said for that. Love the look and from what I hear they are top notch shooters.

But I will say, 10K is a lot to separate myself from.....

Don't know if this is still available, but....

My first time shooting 1000, I was able to make a first round hit with my AWM. I only had verified dope to 300 and calculated from there. It just shoots. And no, mine isn't for sale either.

Impressive, man 15K is a lot but it looks to have never fired.....

There is a green folder .308 with US optics stock on GB for 13k. It’s really clean but out of my range. Probably not too bad considered there is also a Remington CSR for 30k

There was an aw on accurate shooter with case and full kit for sale
