Follow her there, but be warned, Virginia is not what it used to be. In years past we were called The Gun State (interesting story there) but with all the liberals moving south, its basically blue now, and will only get worse. Thats one reason I left.
Her ma wants to give us the house she grew up in in VA but neither of us want to be around the area it's in. My wife says western rural VA is nice. We tried moving to TN a couple years back but ran out of funds before we could get solid footing and had to come back up here lol.
We are looking at anywhere red with decent winters and opportunity basically.
