Not enough explosive force in a plastic water bottle exploding.
The bottle gives up too soon.
It does make a decidedly concussive boom sound though.

There are all sorts of news stories going back for years about Drano Bombs

Here is one

Man accused of throwing ‘Drano bombs’ at ex-girlfriend’s home

Police found a few Drano bombs in the area and securely removed them, but not before some of them went off.

That would be cool. Sort of like an improved version of eating "Pop Rocks" and drinking Coke at the same time. Numerous kids died doing this in the '70's including the kid who played Beaver in "Leave it to Beaver".
