I have a friend in New Zealand with an exceptional collection of fine old Marlin rifles.

Many acquired from visits to the US.

He talks about one in particular chambered in .32 rimfire

His gov has ruled it an assault weapon because it holds more than ten rounds. In a tubular magazine!

He has to go to great pains to just own it.

Anyway he hasn't been able to find ammo for it in a very long time.

Well I found a couple boxes and was going to surprise him for Christmas until I found out I cannot get them to him legally.

And I sure as hell don't want to get him in trouble, he is a fine old gentleman

Just before retirement I grabbed a folding chair and walked off the loading dock into an empty box car.
I sat down and started writing on the inside wall with a magic marker all the people who had passed I had worked with.
I was soon joined by other coworkers.
we soon had a list of 128 names.
I feel pretty fortunate I've made it through another year.
God bless all who passed and for those that are here now all the best luck in the new year.

Now I understand why my Dad sold his 1 owner, pristine 1967 Camero when I turned 14. But Dayum! I would love to own that car. 95% stock, glass packs and Pioneer sound system were the only modifications. Dark Tahoe Blue with Black Leather interior. I can still remember riding it on family ski trips (Better off Dead - movie) and headed to other family adventures.

He even took it Elk Hunting out of La Grande OR. Before I was born. Out with my mother’s cousins.

Giants who once lived. Burial mounds are all over the east coast. Some have been found in the Southwest and there are several Indian tales about them. Lincoln even wrote about them. They are also known as Nephilim.

That is as a pretty interesting historical rabbit hole do delve into!

From the biblical references to the hoaxers… thanks! Neat bit of background!

Delve into neanderthals. Are they an early stage of human development or really old people from biblical times before God limited the age of mankind? There's some research into what the skeletal system would look like for people three to four hundred years old like Noah.

I'm 57 and hurt every where. Can you imagine being 400 years old?

If you follow biblical genealogy records, Methuselah died the year of Noah's flood. Did he die naturally, or did I pump him into my fuel tank last week?

Very true.
No title for is and should be absolute dealbreaker on anything requiring a registration.
Sell a vehicle needing to be licensed for on highway travel without a title?
How can it legally be transferred?

When I purchased the "Barn find Dodge" the original owner's son" had a state of Oregon title for the vehicle in his name and I had no issues at DMV.

I get the whole not wanting an Acorn Binder, not much value in it even when you do get it running and parts are almost impossible to find.
Not that there's resale value in an old Dodge Power Wagon but the chicks dig it.
Oregon chicks anyway, especially the fat ones.

I have seen a geezer driving a restored power wagon on the streets of the eye blink sized village of Tatum, NM. It is painted red with black fenders and has large mud grip tires on it. Cool looking old wagon and I would bet it gets all of 9-10 mpg if he doesn't exceed 55 mph. A few years ago there was an old army 2 1/2 ton there and I even saw it down here. It was probably parked when gas prices went up.

In New Mexico no title means no tags and you bought a lawn ornament.

Reuters and the AP spreading the truth presented by the government rep, eh? I don’t know about giant skeletons, but those three orgs are still doing exactly the same stuff today.

A real friend would fly down there for a visit and take the ammo with him.

Yeah there are for sure hoaxes about this. What I do find very interesting are the folklores from various tribes in North America about them. Do I know for sure, nope. But many cultures across the globe have flood stories as well. I have watched some shows on these giants and thought that they were pushing a narrative way to hard and not looking at anything objectively, while a few actually try to go where the data leads and it gets pretty in the weeds. But there seem to be some real data that suggest it was a real possibility. Some archeological findings came out of the ME a few years back that was pretty impressive. For me it is an interesting endeavor to find out the truth, a lot like how far the Vikings explored NA - not critical to my life perspective but thought provoking.
