• Watch Out for Scammers!

We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!

Any original members here?

We should add a cannon noise and hologram when someone gets banned

There used to be a guy here that eventually got permanent banned for picking fights, had a thread on "breaking in" rifles. Think he was from Alaska. He would launch his rifle out onto the ice and rocks to break it in, then shoot small groups. Definitely epic.
I worked with one of Larry's pards when I was in Alaska. They definitely lack social skills....but they can shoot. Pretty sure scoring chicks is lower priority than gram pics with fish and spray painted guns.

Been a member since early 2004. Not sure if that is OG enough though... but I'm coming up on my 20th year. Post count doesn't reflect that because I don't hve enough to say that is accurate or important enough. lol.

Yeah, that's video's the one. A couple of elephants and we'd have a circus. Love that line.

A few people I haven't seen, maybe they changed their call sign.

I don't remember what year I joined but it was several years before Scout. Maybe 04 or so.
Don't post much at all anymore.
Wish it could go back to the way it was before. Showing my age...
Too bad I can't read my old posts about the matches I hosted years ago. Lots of pics I haven't seen in a long time.
Good times.

18 Apr 2001 Fuckin OLD

My man!!!

For those of you who dont know Foul Mike.
FM is one of the coolest older guys I have ever met, and I have met quite a few in my life, he is for sure the baddest ass shooting a 1/2 gal jug (milk or juice) filled with water and some red food dye on the 1,000 yard line at 0700.
Takes more cold bore shots at 1000 in a year than most take in a lifetime.

old school cool man right there.

Below is FM having the greatest time with my daughter, and her with him.
A lesson in the joy of an old rifle and shooting sticks.
Those sticks went to school for show and tell.
And live on the corner of her bedroom.

They don’t come better than Mike!

IIRC the first time I got banned was April 15 2009. I posted a picture of the Kenyan wearing a golf hat that said Entitleist. I said something about being sure to pay your taxes there's plenty of the free shit army depending on you. Frank was not nearly as lenient about politics back then.

If I remember correctly. Politics was a forbidden subject wasn’t it.

Feb 2011 for me. Learned everything I know about reloading and long range shooting here. Still putting my canted scope mount on backwards so that should tell you something.

Biggest thing I remember was going against everything I was taught as a kid and posting comments about things I knew nothing about so I could hit my 100 post count in order to sell stuff on the exchange. And that was before Mil won the battle and there were still MOA scopes to be had. Good ol' days.

How you been? Yep I remember Greg also - If you recall I started West Coast Tactical but then custody case etc changed life.
Around 2005 ish I used to shoot with West Coast Tactical with Fred at Sharpsooters. Was that the same West Coast Tactical?

I don't know when I first came here. My original name was AR15 but I cant find anything when I looked it up. Probably around 2001ish. Then I found another account, mrgreyman, that I started in 2007. I cant seem to get back on that so now I am LMTMWS.

I can't remember exactly when I stumbled in, it was early 2000's. My original account was lost going into the scout dark days

July 29, 2001. I can’t find my member number but I think it’s low 300s.

I been here a minute or three. Good to see some older names post that I’ve not seen in a bit, but I kind of go in cycles. Bit of an off period for me at the moment, this year’s literally been one crisis after another and play funds are pretty well dried up. I have some ammo stashed, but no telling when I could replace it if I shot it all up, so I mostly dry fire and shoot .22s right now, though my .223 and 6.5G may come out more this next year.

I've been here so long that I recall the debates of which was the Superior long range bullet of all time, 155gr Scenar or 175gr SMK... Which was the better rifle, 308 Remington Varmint, PSS or that new fangled 5r... losing more than half my post count from the conversion to scout and back again sucked as did our old feedback thread in the Classifieds.

Who was the guy that shot matches with a pink/purple and glitter DPMS 308 with clothes to match?

Joined in '05. When the site went to Scout, I lost interest for a few years and recently started being around more. Some medical stuff happened and greatly reduced how much I can get to the range anymore. But I like the comradery here.

Aug 2004 for me.
The pic from the RO tower has some good folks in it…..several who have sadly passed on. Gottfredson most recently. Those were good times.
Lindy is still teaching at RO, but doesn’t come on here anymore. He’s still a walking weather meter and ballistic computer. His taste in scotch has improved too.
The Spin D was fun to do. Trolling a certain ballistic writer. I was the camera man for that one…….think Butter Flavor Wind Cheater too, but that one was after much post match whiskey in the bunkhouse.…..like so many other good times………so I can’t be completely sure.
Think it was Todd Ligget getting water boarded, though several did on the stairs and picknick table.
I think only Rob from Team Blaster is still around, though we still talk with The Stash.
The OG king of comps Terry Cross is still around. He gave me my first tip at a match in 06 before I shot Jacob’s Moving Chaos for the first time. Love ya Terry.
Always funny to see match or SHOT show shenanigans make it back to the Hide…..
Team Bukkake shenanigans
Think Frank did a live stream thread on the old Hide of us drunken narrating Sharktapus from the bunkhouse.
@Skunk I shot with you a few times at Pascagoula DCM range with Mike R, Bill Walter, etc……think I was actually running an SN3 at the time as well.

Interesting to think I’ve got almost 20 years of memories here and matches.
Good times
Doc Hardy

It’s been since 06 for me. I haven’t looked at this site regularly for awhile now life got in the way. Checked it for the first time in a long time and seen this post with names I haven’t seen in years. I’ve learned so much from here and never really posted much.

Chatbox was badass. I also miss the very active SHWW thread. Been a member since '09. Lurker well before that, not that any of it means sh*t. I am a curmudgeon before my time...

Wow, your posts were a highlight of the original epic wives and girlfriend thread.
Once upon a time.

She is now my ex wife. After 16 years she blindsided me with a divorce. Multiple affairs came to light and I was blown away.

But...life is strange and fluid. Like Forrest Gump once said....you never know what you are going to get.

I'm remarried now to a absolutely amazing woman who cherishes me and she is my best friend.

It's funny you should mention that because I literally just posted some pics of her in the new hot girlfriend/wife thread.

Glad to see some of the OG members still here.

Happy New Year
