I use 4-5 depending on what I am looking for and the prices including shipping.

I always search AmmoSeek to get my leads

For complete ammo, I generally favor SGAmmo, mostly IWI 7.62x51 NATO. Starline for a Brass in a couple of chamberings. For powder, Hodgdon direct. Same for Speer Bullets (Mostly Gold Dot) and RMR (Rocky Mountain Reloading) for bullets. Buying direct from the maker saves stress; if they say it's in, it's in. I don't buy large lots, and load only what I intend to shoot soon.

AmmoSeek is always my first choice. But there are some websites that AmmoSeek does not mine.

If you're looking for 9MM. Locked & Loaded usually has good prices on the CCI Blazer Brass ammo when buying 500 or 1000 rounds.

SGAmmo is hard to beat...

If you’re looking for blasting ammo, American Reloading has pretty good prices on their reman ammo, when it’s in stock. I picked up some 115gr 9mm for 21¢/round, and 55gr .223 for 33¢/round recently.

Christ are people so fucking lazy they can't do their own research? There are a ton of sites that show you the cheapest prices shipped for virtually any kind of ammo you want.

It's 2023 and people still think the internet is hard.

That's why I don't answer in stupid threads like this

This reminds me of a forum for CZ enthusiasts where I sometimes go......one guy posts that he can't find any Shadow 2 slide stops for sale anywhere.

He must have meant at his LGS because I went on line and in less than 15 seconds I had found four places that had them in stock in the US and Europe.

It's 20-fucking-23......IDGAF how old you are learn how to internet.

Somebody has to say it.

I’ve been on SH since 2012. I don’t engage a whole lot but have found this platform to be very resourceful for information and have connected with some great Americans. That said, we all are ambassadors and stewards of continuity within the firearms community. We should take that more seriously.

If our immediate response to an FNG to the hide, is to scuff his ass up for not doing a google search first, how are we to grow and cultivate the firearms community? Why are we quick to post a reply and bitch and moan about it, rather than just offer useful information. Help the knucklehead out.

While doing a Google search or even a search here on the Hide will yield valuable information, maybe…just maybe an FNG is aware that there are very knowledgeable individuals that can share information that is more valuable than a Google search.

A little bit of hazing never hurt anyone, but we should also be welcoming to share information and resources that promote the firearms community, especially for SH.

Ammo Seek is literally the 3rd link when I Google "Best Ammo Prices".

You would have a point if the question wasn't so broad and elementary.

I mean how do you even quantify what a "good list of on line ammo suppliers" (to quote the op) is?

I have mainly evolved to be a helper for beginners. My decades as an Adult Scouting Leader/Trainer have cleared my mind of any tendency toward hazing. As with Scouting, my goal isn't to teach, but to train teachers. For the record, the final step in learning is to be required to pass the skill effectively to another. Nobody's happy until everyone's happy.

My writing style tends to be concise and stream of consciousness (Not my words, but my boss when I was doing DTP (Desk Top Publishing) for a living).

The main annoyance I have is with myself, when I fail to be those two things. I aim hard to describe with the most precise words.

My priorities are to keep my advice tied to minimal cost (we already have many advocates for the top shelf), sweat equity, and KISS. The typical beginner does not have a big budget to play with.

Some of my ventures go out of the box. Every novel viewpoint and suggestion is intended to be in the public domain (I.e., released to the public without, and without intent to, obtain a patent, but intentions are not binding.

I am a firm advocate of the phrase, "One cannot buy their way into the X ring", and have stacked X's at 1000 several times in F Open comp with a Savage rifle.

The VA and SSD support my household of three. It's enough and I'm not greedy. I am not especially healthy, but when you're Total/Permanent VA Service Connected Disabled, you can get a lot of help that doesn't involve bank accounts. I just met my VA provided home health aide this morning. My Daughter provides some of my home care, and also works a couple of days a week. We get by, and have a happy home together.

Palehorse68, we agree totally.

So I have a question about Ammo Seek. do they vet all the sites that they link to or does it just search the web for me?

I know durring the height of the pandemic, A LOT of fraud sites started popping up selling powder and ammo the was SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE, they clearly were just out for your information.

Caveat Emptor

It's just a search engine.

SG has been good. i've use Ammunition To To in TX for a number of yeas with very good results. as with all of the online sellers availability varies considerably

I've bought 100% of my ammo the last 3 years from SG. If they don't have the best price, it's pretty close, and there's no "surprise" after going through all the order BS only to find shipping adds another $60. If you get his emails, he seems to be doing the doom and gloom thing the past 3 months...haven't seen the predicted price hikes yet.

I only order from SG Ammo.
I looked at the last 20 orders....Never once have I ever paid for shipping.
But then again, I'm not ordering two boxes of 20 rounds.
I buy enough to make my UPS guy hate me more every time he has to get his hand truck out and roll it to my house.
